Poppy finds herself at the edge of the dark forest in the late afternoon, she glances back to make sure no one sees as she slips into the trees. Walking down the path, she enjoyed the warm sun that slipped between the shadows. The forest wasn't so dark and scary during the day, Poppy actually found a sort of peace within it that she couldn't find anywhere else. She took her time, picking herbs, mushrooms and looking at pretty rocks. As she hopped over a large tree root that twisted up and out of the ground she ended up at a small creek, placing her wand in her pocket before glancing around.
"Hello my friend, I've come to visit you," she calls out, pulling at the leather bag that slung across her shoulder. "and I brought you a gift." She adds, waiting for a moment before a large wolf steps out from one of the trees behind her. She turns around and jumps slightly. "Oh there you are, you snuck up on me." She laughs as she walks towards him with no hesitation. "Here." She says gently as she places an amulet around his neck, he gives her a look as if to ask what it was. "It's an protective amulet, it'll keep you safe." She says. Placing her small hand on his forehead.
"I'm sorry I haven't come to see you, please don't be upset." She begins. "I didn't forget you. My friends had some trouble and I wanted to be there for them." She explains. "Do you have any friends?" She asks.
The wolf turns away and walks a bit before turning back to her as he waited for her to follow. "Oh you want to show me something?" She asks as she catches up, the two make their way into a deeper part of the forest where there was a large waterfall with a small cave in behind it. He enters the cave and Poppy follows, seeing that it was made into a small den. "Is this where you live?" She asks, the wolf just watches her as he lies down and rest his head on his large paws. She took a seat beside him, pressing her hand into his soft fur.
"So you live alone... no family either?" She asks, the wolf huffs as it's eyes wander away from her. "Well, I kind of get it. I don't really have parents myself. I ran away from them, I didn't agree with the things they did and believed in so I went to live with my gran instead..." she says, the wolf tilts his head to her. "But I'll be your friend, I haven't told anyone because I think everyone is scared of wolves after what happened to my friend Lena." She says, smiling down at him. "But not all wolves are bad, are they?"
Back at the castle Lena and Sebastian sat on the couches in the defence against the dark arts tower, its been a week since the incident in Professor Sharps classroom and Lena still hasn't spoken to either Sharp or Weasley but at least her group seemed to have eased up a bit since then, things were as good as they could be for now. Her curse was still a secret, though. She spent most of her evenings researching after Sebastian and her friends were all at their dorms but she had no luck yet.
"Checkmate." Garreth says, as he looks to Imelda with a cocky smirk. "You suck Garreth, you obviously cheated." She snaps, glaring at him. "I did not, you're just a sore loser." He says with a chuckle, Lena smiled at them as she was pulled from her thoughts. She tried to enjoy the time with her friends and stay in the moment as much as she could, it's what was keeping her going.
Sebastian places a hand on her thigh, catching her attention but by the look on his face she knew he did it on purpose. She was glad to see he was being more himself again. "Anyway, are you guys coming tonight?" Imelda asks, waving her wand to clean up the chess board. "Where?" Lena asks, curiously. "You'll definitely be seeing me there." Garreth says, flinging a chess piece towards Imelda as she snarls at him. "I need to get dr-"
"Shhhh Garreth, no one will be going or doing anything with you being that loud." Ominis snaps in a whisper, shaking his head. "Guys what are we doing tonight?" Lena asks again, curiously. "Tonight they are having their Slytherin party, teachers won't know, only vip access for non Slytherins and we have an inn. You are coming right?" Garreth whispers, slightly mocking Ominis. Lena takes a moment to think.
