"Where are they and what do they want with her? You don't want to know what I'll do if you don't start telling me the truth." Sebastian snarls as he pressed Dawn up against the wall just outside the undercroft.
"I promise to tell you everything but it's wise we do that later. It's more important that we find her, they will be looking for her and I guarantee we don't have much time. I need you to trust that I'm not on their side."
"How do I know I can trust you?"
"I could've let that man kill you in Sharps class, I knew him my whole life but instead I saved you. I could've taken Lena to them myself on multiple occasions, we left the school grounds more than enough times but I never did. I could've stayed back at Hogwarts and let them succeed when you two met at the cottage... but I didn't. I can help you fight them off, they are stronger than you think. Give me a chance and I will prove myself to you."
Sebastian glared at him for a long moment before letting his grip slip off the collar of his shirt.
"Fine, I'll trust you but you better be right on this one Dawn. I'm warning you." He hissed.
A moment later they heard footsteps approach, the two both pulled out their wands but to their surprise they came face to face with Alasdaire.
"Great. What are you doing here?" Sebastian growls.
"I could ask you the same question." Alasdaire says, crossing his arms.
"We are looking for Lena, any clue where she went?" Dawn asks.
"I think she made her way up towards Gryffindor hall with her friend Garreth, I can't be sure though."
"How are you not sure?" Sebastian asks suspiciously.
"I was busy distracting the two men who were after her so they could get away." Alasdaire explains, giving Sebastian a look.
"Wait, how do you know about them?" Sebastian snarls, jealousy twisting in his eyes as he glared at the seventh year.
"She told me? I was with her one evening in Hogsmeade when they came after her."
"What were you two doing in Hogsmeade together?"
"Sebastian now isn't exactly the time for this, we need to find her before they do." Dawn points out, looking between the two. They back away from eachother and nod.
"Very well then, let's go."
Meanwhile Lena and Garreth ran to the north quad hall where they took a moment to catch their breath.
"We need to get you somewhere safe. There's a statue of a frog sitting at the bottom of stairs at the lower Gryffindor hall, use your wand and it'll summon you to a secret room. Hide there until you are absolutely certain it's safe."
"Hold on, what about you?"
"I have to go back."
"No you don't, not every battle is one you are responsible for fighting." Garreth says, turning to look at her.
She looks at him for a long moment, not knowing what to do. She didn't have time to explain but from the change in his expression she realized she didn't have to.
"Oh Lena... this has something to do with you... doesn't it?" He asks, giving her a bleak look but before she could respond she heard the voices of two men echo through the hall.
"Run!" She shouted as they saw the men rushing towards them.
The two made their way through the Gryffindor hall as they dodged the blasts coming from the men's wands, she glanced back and flicked her wand towards them.
