Lena and Sebastian look up towards the large castle before them as they walk through the entrance to the court yard, she had forgotten how grand the school was up close. It had been a few days since the two left Feldcroft and she was hoping that returning to the castle would be a good distraction for Sebastian. She smiled at the memories that returned to her as they made their way up the stairs and into the school...
As excited as she was to return and see her dormitory again she would definitely miss spending time at the cottage especially since being reunited with Sebastian. The few nights they spent together were special to her, it helped them become close again at the very least. She still didn't fully know where the two of them stood, but she was just glad to have her friend back.
"We have about an hour to drop our things off to our dorms before going to the great hall. For the sorting ceremony." Lena says, looking to Sebastian as she reached out to take her suitcase that he insisted on carrying.
"Ah yes, my least favorite part of the school year. Can't wait to go sit in the grand hall, listen to Professor Black speak nonsense for a good twenty minutes and spend another forty watching all the first years get sorted." Sebastian says, rolling his eyes.
"It won't be that bad... but perhaps I don't know that for sure as it's my first year seeing anyone get sorted." She points out as they make their way further into the castle.
"Ah yes, I forgot. You were late last year, I remember seeing you up there and thinking about how mysterious you were."
Lena laughs. "Well this mysterious girl is going to put her suitcase away in her dorm. Meet her by the great hall in let's say an hour?"
Sebastian gives her a quick nod. "I will see you there." He says with a smile. Lena brushes her hand down his arm before turning away from him to walk towards her common room. She was excited to see her friends and the castle halls felt nostalgic but also a bit sad. She loved this school and there was so many wonderful memories she had made here last year but she couldn't help but think of Professor Fig... if only he were there with them.
She walks through the hallway with her suitcase at her side and a few books tucked against her chest, she thought about the year to come and tried not to let herself feel too sad about Fig as she knew he would want her to enjoy her first day back. As she was lost in her thoughts she didn't pay too much attention to her surroundings and bumps into someone as she turns a corner, her books sprawl out onto the floor and her suitcase drops from her hand.
"I'm sorry, let me help you with that." Says the raven haired boy, getting down on one knee to pick up her books. She kneels down as well, grabbing the books that were just by her feet before looking up to meet a pair of sleek yellow-green eyes. She hesitated at the unfamiliar face for a moment before nervously glancing away.
"Here you go," He says, handing her the books he had collected.
"Thank you, I'm sorry about that I wasn't paying any attention." She apologizes as they both stand back up.
"I wasn't either, don't worry.." He says, studying her for a moment before he continues. "Forgive me if I am wrong but you must be Miss Blackrose."
Lena raises an eyebrow. "Yes, I am. I'm sorry, do I know you?" She asks, wonderinf if she forgot meeting him.
"No, no. I heard a lot about you though, I'm new this year. Sixth year, transferred from Beauxbatons Academy. My name is Dawn... Dawn Eslinger."
