A/N: Welcome to my first SasaMiya fic! :D As of Jan 2023 I found Sasaki to Miyano anime, binged it, and watched it at least 7 times in both dub and sub, AND hunted down any and all reactions to it on Youtube. (I'm obsessed) Now I'm currently buying the manga to read it, and I still haven't checked out Hirano and Kagiura manga yet. (So my knowledge on Kagiura's character is limited to the anime and wiki...)
This series has just brought a lot of joy to my life, it's the cutest shit ever, and I have so many fics planned for it. I really wanted to do this one first, so I hope you enjoy reading! This first chapter won't have Sasaki, it's just building the world. I hope you enjoy my take on Omegaverse!
Also, the fact that the characters have animals that symbolize them is too cute and will be used in this!

Chapter 1: Not Your Average Omega
Miyano thought being an omega was exhausting, and he wished he'd been born a beta like his dad. Life would be so much simpler, and he wouldn't have to put up with the stares he got. The unnecessary attention he received when his status was known to those around him was too much sometimes.
Male omegas were rare, and Miyano Yoshikazu had the unfortunate privilege of being one.

Wide eyes, long lashes, small nose, full lips, and a softly curved face. That was what stared at him in the mirror. The beauty mark under his left eye even seemed to bring out his strange beauty even more. His curly black locks were fluffy and flowed down to accentuate his feminine features, and Miyano just wanted to hide it all.
"I hate this."
He did, all of it. And now he was starting high school where he would once again be the target of gossip.
His phone buzzed on the counter, and he checked it to see messages in the group chat he shared with his best friends.
|| We're going to wait for you at the station, Miyano! -Tashiro
|| Yeah, we'll be standing at the cafe to the right of where you get off from. -Kuresawa
|| Still sad I won't get to see you guys at school, but good luck!! Stay with Yoshi-chan you two!! Or else >:( -Fujimi

Miyano laughed at their messages, and responded that he was on his way to meet them. At least he wouldn't be alone... he had his packmates with him, and that was the really good thing about being the type of omega he was.
Normally, only certain kinds of alphas could form packs. Among Alphas, Betas, and Omegas, there were also different sub-types to each second gender. For example, Kuresawa and Tashiro were both betas, but their status were different types. Kuresawa was more like an 'alpha type' of Beta (AB), able to give certain commands, and could be more assertive if need be. He was still cool, calm, and collected though...
Tashiro was more submissive as a beta. He was usually all bubbly and carefree, far removed from any dominating traits. His nature was more approachable to anyone, and could be mistaken for omega sometimes. Thus, his type was Omega Beta (OB).
