Chapter 9: True Intentions

Chapter 9: True Intentions

Telling the rest of the pack that him and Sasaki were together now wasn't so hard to do when they opened the door on them in each other's arms and kissing.

"Ah! My eyes!" Tashiro jokingly shielded his face as Kagiura whistled from beside him and Hirano.

"I think we interrupted something..."

"It's about time." Both Kuresawa and Hirano said, surprising each other, before they shared a knowing look.

Miyano blushed as he separated from Sasaki, though their hands stayed linked together. When he looked at his boyfriend, he saw he was also blushing.

"So you guys are going out now?" Tashiro asked happily as they came further into the room.

"Yes." And now Miyano and Sasaki were in sync with answering at the same time.

Kuresawa chuckled and held up his phone. "Can I take a picture to send the good news to Yuki-chan?"

Miyano huffed out, knowing the beta would find a way to tell her anyway. "If Sasaki-senpai is okay with it..."

Sasaki grinned. "Sure, so long as the picture gets sent to me too~"

"Done and done." Kuresawa took the picture and started typing away.

Miyano wanted to roll his eyes, but focused on Hirano as the blonde stepped closer to him.

"How are you feeling? Have you thrown up any more blood and, uh, flower petals?"

All eyes were on him, and Miyano fidgeted. "No, I haven't. It looks like that tip from the research worked."

Their eyebrows raised. "What did?"

Miyano stood a little closer to the alpha beside him - his alpha. "The one about the head omega recovering faster when they spent time with their mate."

"Ohh, so how much are you feeling better now? You guys have been together for a few hours now." Kagiura asked.

"Well, that's the thing. Sasaki's my fated mate, so I'm recovered now."

That shocked his pack, and he could practically hear the happiness radiating off of his boyfriend.

"Wait, fated mates? That's real?" Tashiro gasped, looking at the two of them more as if he could see a physical change.

"Impressive. Congratulations you two." Kuresawa smiled at them, and Kagiura mirrored that with an even bigger one.

"That's so amazing that you two found each other! What's it like?"

Miyano shared a questioning look with Sasaki, and the alpha spoke first. "I'm not really sure how different it is for regular mates, but with Mya-chan I feel sort of... hyper-focused? Like me and my inner alpha are in sync for once and only want to be close to and protect him. We share a scent together, too."

The head omega nodded excitedly. "My mom and dad are fated mates, and what she told me about their bond is all similar to what Sasaki-senpai and I have. The shared scent, the want to be closer, how we can sense each other better..." Now he really wanted to borrow his mom's journal again. She spent her younger years writing in a journal when she found his dad, and it was the first love story Miyano remembers ever reading about.
