Chapter 28: Love Bursting At The Seams

Sasaki Pov

"You're still just an omega anyway, so we can make you submit in other ways..." That sentence echoed in his mind as he trembled from the rage that took over. His inner alpha roared to life when he saw his mate get pushed into the wall forcefully. How dare he!

He was ready to attack and rip apart every single person who endangered his mate, but he needed to protect him more. His control flickered between him and his inner self, and it wasn't until someone older, someone who would help them, that he saw through the red coloring his vision.

Now he was somewhere safe, somewhere away from everyone, and his mate was pressed close to him. That unbridled rage was still simmering deep within him, demanding he hurt the ones who hurt his omega.

"Breathe, Shuu. Breathe in, and out. It's okay. Omega's safe, Omega needs you." His mate's voice called him down from the high of rage, and he blinked as the room came into focus.

They were sitting on a couch, and Miyano was holding him close and running his fingers through his hair. His face was pressed against his mate's neck, and he inhaled that precious scent desperately. It reminded him of a happy warmth, of days spent at bookstores or watching Miyano get so animated when talking about BL.

He kissed the skin there, and Miyano held him tighter. It felt nice to be held like this. He's so strong. "I'm okay now." He told him after finding his voice. Miyano loosened his hold enough so Sasaki could raise his head and press their foreheads together. "Thank you for talking me down. All I saw was red when I heard them and they pushed you—"

His eyes widened, and he abruptly pulled back to look over him. "Are you hurt? I didn't even check! You hit your back, and he touched your arm—" His inner alpha was stirring at the reminder, and he almost growled.

His omega quickly shushed him. "Alpha, settle." He commanded, knocking a moan from Sasaki's lips as he felt the presence press deep inside him. Instantly he felt in a calmer state, and his inner alpha rolled over in sleep. The command was like a drug that coerced through his body, and Sasaki was addicted to the feeling of that power pushing him into the place where his mate wanted him.

Gods, submitting to his omega was one of the best feelings in the world.

"The blow shocked me more than it hurt me, I'm fine." Miyano reassured him in that sweet voice of his that matched his deep honey eyes. "I'm happy you were there to protect me. It definitely would have taken a lot out of me to command them away." He was once again running his fingers against his scalp, and Sasaki groaned at the feeling.

He saw Miyano pull out his phone to call someone—Kuresawa from the name on the screen. Sasaki remained pliant in his hold, purring slightly.

"Hey, yeah that was me. Can you tell everyone we're fine? Ran into some alphas, some from middle school... Yeah, those ones. Sasaki came in and protected me, and the attention alerted a teacher who banned the group and escorted them out." Miyano talked to the beta, and Sasaki watched every minuscule twitch to his expression. It was fascinating to watch his face change with every emotion. "We can meet up there since the dance is later. Thanks." He hung up, and Sasaki woke up a little more at one detail.
