Chapter 24: Summer Lilies

Sasaki Pov

The summer heat was harsh, but it was made better by the cool water and the laughter in the air. Sasaki was fascinated by the gentle peals of laughter coming from Miyano. It was the best sound he ever heard, the music he wanted to play on repeat, and he would never tire of hearing it.

His gaze swept around the water park they were in. It was a smaller one, made more for grown-ups and teens who just wanted to cool off in the summer heat. Most families took their kids to the bigger one in the city beyond this one, so the pack got to enjoy their time without too much of a crowd around them.

Sasaki yelped when a bucket got poured on him, and looked at the culprits - his mate and Tashiro. They looked pleased, but when he playfully growled, they laughed and ducked away as he grabbed for them. The water splashed when he waded into the deeper part after them. Tashiro managed to get away and hide behind Hanzawa.

He was okay with that because his sight was on Miyano anyway. No matter what, his sight always found him. He didn't think his mate could get any more beautiful, but he was proven wrong by seeing him in the water. His ebony hair was darker when it was wet, and longer and curlier. He really wanted to wrap the strands around his fingers, they looked so soft. His pale skin glistened from the water and sunlight, and at first he had still been embarrassed to see him without a shirt, but he had grown used to it. Somewhat.

That pretty voice squealed when he caught him, and Sasaki felt his whole being buzz at the skin contact and the way those big brown eyes met his. "No fair! Your legs are longer!"

Sasaki laughed as he tried wiggling away, but he just held him tighter. "All is fair in love... and something." He forgot the line, but it didn't matter because feeling that cool skin against his melted his brain.

Miyano pouted up at him, and Sasaki had to show restraint in not kissing him. "Please, Shuu?" Oh, when he used that pleading tone it dropped his entire guard. Sasaki wasn't even sure what he was pleading for, he just knew he would freely give it. Anything for his adorable boyfriend.

His omega was able to slink away, wearing a victorious smirk as he walked back toward the tall tower-like playground. He heard Kuresawa chuckle at him as he walked by.

"You really fell for it, huh?"

Now Sasaki pouted, but he looked back to where his mate was climbing across the netting. "Yeah, I guess so..." He definitely fell for him.

Kuresawa just shook his head and smiled knowingly, as if he already knew how much of a lovesick fool Sasaki really was. The alpha decided to go after his boyfriend, easily climbing across the obstacles in his path. Just before he reached him, however, Miyano teamed up with Kagiura and used the water guns to spray him down.

Their laughter made him grin against the onslaught, but an opposing party made the water force lessen. He turned to see Ogasawara backing him up from up top, and he climbed up to join him.

"Got your back." The other alpha laughed as they teamed up against them. They knew Kagiura could get really competitive and wouldn't give up so easily.

They all got drenched when a wave of water hit them from above, and they all looked up to see Hirano controlling the tower where the large bucket filled up. "I win." The blonde declared cheekily.
