Chapter 8: What's Meant To Be

Miyano Pov

The sunlight was on his face, waking him from his sleep. Everything was so warm, and as he stretched he realized the situation he was in.

He was on a couch in the old committee room, and Sasaki was there with him. They were laying down and pressed completely together, arms wrapped around the other...

Miyano felt his face heat up even more as he realized the very real lover's embrace they were in. The omega was pressed between the back of the couch and the alpha's body... It was a snug and comfortable place to be. Sasaki was like a wall between him and the outside world, and his inner omega wanted to purr at feeling so safe and comforted...

He stared at Sasaki's face that was right above his. He was sleeping so peacefully, his face relaxed and breathing deeply. He looks even more gorgeous in the sunlight, unguarded like this... Miyano really wanted to reach out and touch his skin that looked so smooth. Instead, his eyes found the shining piercings that reflected the light, and oh, Miyano really wanted to touch those too.

Sasaki just looked too good, and he was Miyano's fated mate? How was he so lucky? He was the most gentle person that was so kind to him and understood him... Cared for him so much that Miyano felt like his heart might explode with all the feelings he held for him. He didn't know what it was like to fall in love with someone, but he just knew this had to be it. He would have never expected to fall for an alpha, but Sasaki was so far removed from those awful alphas of his past...

Orange locks fell in Sasaki's face, causing his nose to twitch cutely, and Miyano wanted to coo. He just couldn't take his eyes off him. Without realizing it, he was already reaching up to gently tuck those strands back behind the alpha's ear. His fingertips brushed against his skin, and a pleasant hum of electricity buzzed through him.

Miyano sighed at the feeling, and how the natural sweet scent of the alpha encompassed him.

The feeling must have woke Sasaki, because he was fluttering those eyes open, and Miyano felt his breath halt. The sun reflected off his eyes in startling hues of brown and purple. How is he so beautiful? Miyano's thoughts whined, and he smiled at the older teen.

"Mya-chan?" Even his sleepy voice was cute. It was softer and deeper, and Miyano really wanted to hear more of it.

"Good morning."

Sasaki's lips tilted up, amused. "Morning." He covered his mouth as he yawned and stretched, and Miyano was reminded of a cat. "What time is it?"

His senpai curled around him more, and it became even warmer. "I'm not sure... My phone is in my bag."

"Mmm... Don't wanna move." Sasaki sighed out, and Miyano smiled. Those magnetic eyes found his, and he saw the serious expression take over. "How are you feeling?"

Miyano blinked. How was he feeling? Since waking up, his thoughts had only been on Sasaki. "I feel warm and safe with you." He said it so easily that the embarrassment of saying such words didn't hold him back.

Sasaki instantly flushed red, his eyes widening. "Oh, um... I, I'm glad." He cleared his throat. "I'm happy I can make you feel safe. You, um, I feel warm too." And he ducked his head to press into Miyano's shoulder.

Senpai is so cute! Miyano laughed, and heard Sasaki whine. They stayed like that for a few minutes, and the longer Sasaki stayed so close to him, the more Miyano felt his face heat up.
