Chapter 17: The Talk

Miyano Pov

It took Miyano a second to catch on to the changes, well, the second time he went to shower. He was surprised when he could reach the showerhead easier, and grew inexplicably happy that he had actually grown a few inches. It was still not close to his senpai's height, but it was a start, and Miyano was just thankful he had grown at all. Most omegas stayed small because of biology, but maybe since he was a boy that didn't matter to him!

Well, at least he thought that at first. His hair was longer, and wondered for a while if he should cut it some more. Sasaki said he liked it... Something made him pause in the mirror as he brushed his fingers through the curly length. It was... nice to look at, and now that his bangs were back to the length they were at before, he found himself liking the feel of the longer curls.

As he studied his reflection more, he noticed his eyelashes seemed thicker. It was a minor change, but the next change he noticed had him shocked and flustered.

He had always been slim, but now there were... curves? Certainly ones he never expected to have, but he supposed all omegas got them... even male ones. His hips were wider, and his waist was a little smaller. His face grew red when he realized he had an attractive figure now. He didn't know how to feel about it!

When he turned in the mirror he noticed even his backside was bigger! And that made him yelp and want to hide it.

What would people think?!

Wait.

Sasaki had been oddly protective over him yesterday. He thought it might have been some alpha symptom-thing from him coming out of heat, but now it all made sense! He had been trying to hide these changes from everyone at school. And here Miyano thought his mate was just being silly by asking him to tie his jumper around his waist!

Most of his changes could be hidden with baggier clothing, but that meant getting a whole new wardrobe, and it was getting hotter now so jackets weren't exactly a thing to wear...

He grabbed his phone to call Kuresawa, and immediately when his best friend answered he started whining. "Kuresawa... My body type changed a lot."

"Ah, guess it was bound to happen eventually."

"Yeah, but in high school?! What do I do? My usual clothes will be tighter now."

"Hm... I could loan you some of mine until you can go shopping. Or..." And here, Miyano could hear the beta smirk. "You could ask to wear your boyfriend's clothes."

Miyano flushed. "Those would still be too big!"

"Maybe he has some old clothes from middle school?"

"Yeah... I'll ask him, but could you bring something for today, at least?"

"I'll bring them by early. Don't worry." The bespectacled boy chuckled, and Miyano breathed a sigh of relief.

"Thanks, you're a lifesaver."

"It's what I do." He quipped, and they said their goodbyes before hanging up.

Now, Miyano just had to ask Sasaki about his old clothes... It made him blush just to think about wearing his mate's clothes.
