Chapter 5: Liquid Rose Petals

"Miyano-kun!" Kagiura shouted happily, and Miyano braced himself as the taller boy hugged him.

"Ah, Kagiura..."

"Here, I got this for you to give Fujimi-chan. It's from me and Hirano!" The alpha handed over a small blanket, and Miyano was able to tell that their combined scent was on it.

Did they cuddle together with this? On this? His fudanshi brain was spiraling to so many scenarios. "Ah, thanks. I'll be sure to give it to her today, she'll be happy." He tucked it away carefully in his bag.

"I hope it does. Hirano was saying blankets are her favorite scent item." There was a slight flush to his cheeks, and Miyano zeroed in on it.

"What? Did senpai have you both scent it together?"

The blush was very visible now on the basketball player. "No, uh, well... yes." He gave up by the end and just admitted it with a pout that made Miyano smile wider. "At first he wanted to do it separately, but then I told him it would be stronger if he scented it at the same time, and I... I didn't expect him to agree to it!"

Oh, he was so thankful that Kagiura so freely gave info about his relationship with his dorm roommate. Hirano would never spill such juicy intel! "That sounds like a good thing though, if he's willing to scent together with you. It means he trusts you a lot." The act of scenting something together was considered an intimate gesture between packmates. The closeness was undeniable, and for someone like Hirano who struggled with his OA status to give that trust over to another alpha was promising.

Kagiura seemed to process this, judging by the myriad of emotions that crossed his face. He erupted into a huge smile. "You think so? Thanks, Miyano-kun!"

"Hirano-senpai does seem more at ease when he's around you."

The alpha blushed brilliantly once more. "He does." He spoke as if he just acknowledged it before gazing at Miyano curiously. "That's sort of like how Sasaki is around you."

"Huh?" This caught Miyano by surprise.

"Yeah, I didn't like Sasaki at first, oh, this was before the pack. So when he joined I was a little hesitant, but he's really changed! He's smiling more, especially around you."

Miyano's heart wanted to beat wildly at this knowledge. "Oh... I see." It was all he could say at the moment.

"Yo, Kagiura!" Someone shouted down the hall, and Miyano recognized someone from the alpha's basketball team.

"I gotta go. See ya later, Miyano-kun!" Kagiura gave him a brief hug, and they waved each other off.

Feeling fuzzy at the contact with his packmate, Miyano walked off to join Kuresawa and Tashiro at the entrance.

"And he kept nagging at me that I wasn't doing my best! But I was!"

"Sounds like this senpai either likes you or hates your guts."

"Huh? What's going on?" Miyano only caught Tashiro whining about someone, and he was curious at the beta's flustered expression.

Kuresawa turned to him. "Hey, Miyano. Tashiro has a senpai in his club who's teasing him a lot."

"I-It's not what you think!" Tashiro rambled and pointed at Miyano.

Well, the omega did light up at the potential BL happening to his packmate. "Who is the senpai?"
