Chapter 16: A Change

A/N: For anyone new to Omegaverse: Typically, omegas make a 'nest' of their favorite scented items. It's their safe-space where they can chill and relax the most. Omegas can make a sort of 'chirp' sound when they're especially happy. Enjoy this new chap ;3

Chapter 16: A Change

"Omega is here!" Fujimi shouted cheerfully as she walked into his room. Her eyes were sky blue, and Miyano reached for her.

They both giggled as they cuddled in the nest, happy pheromones present and glittering in the air in shapes that entranced the head omega.

"Aw, diving in!" Tashiro laughed as he jumped on the bed, causing the two to bounce and giggle some more. His eyes were glittering golden.

Yokota watched it all with the biggest smile on her face. Her own eyes shown cerulean blue as the atmosphere brought out all their inner selves. She really loved omegas! And she especially loved her packmates, they were all too adorable!

"We got some food, think you can stomach something Miyano?"

The dark-haired boy gazed up at her and thought about it before nodding. The head omega was already pretty adorable normally, but in this state it was amplified, and Yokota felt a sickening joy that she was among the few who got to see it.

"Alright, time for some soup!"

"Yeah!" Both Fujimi and Tashiro cheered, causing Miyano to smile as well. His fever had finally broke by the second day, so now they were just waiting it out for him to return to normal.

Miyano's parents and Kuresawa brought them what they needed and things for them to do while they watched over their pack leader. They weren't bored completely since Miyano had an extensive BL collection. They even got Tashiro to read some of the lighter ones, and got him questioning things, which was a plus for them.

"I don't know, I don't think he sees me in that way, you know?" Tashiro spoke after opening up to them about Hanzawa. He had been having stronger-than-usual emotions toward the older alpha. "I don't think he's into guys. I'm pretty sure I've only seen him hang around omega girls..."

"Maybe he was pushed into liking them because of his family?" Yokota spoke after making sure Miyano was settled after eating a bowl of soup. The head omega mostly needed rest, so they were trying to talk quietly while still staying in close proximity with him.

"Oh, because his siblings only like alphas?" Fujimi murmured, remembering when they found out that Hanzawa's entire family was made of alphas. Their father had been omega, but passed away when Hanzawa was little.

Yokota nodded. "I think Hanzawa felt cornered and pressured into marrying what society sees as 'the right couple' so he acts like he goes out with omega girls to please his mom. If the rest of his siblings get with alphas, they'll have to adopt, so Hanzawa is the only one able to find a partner to have babies with."

Tashiro scrubbed at his dual-toned hair angrily. "That's not fair! I want him to be happy and be able to choose who he wants to be with!"

Yokota smirked at the younger beta. "Even if that means you?"

Tashiro instantly blushed. "I... Maybe?"

Fujimi grinned along with her senpai. "You could give him babies in the future... if you wanted."

"How? I'm beta."

The girls looked at each other before turning back to the confused boy. "Tashiro, do you even realize how close you are to your omega side? When anyone sharing an omega side to their second gender mates with an alpha, their body will adapt and change so that they can bear children. It's all nature's crazy biology."
