Chapter 11: First Trip
Sasaki (and a bit mixed) Pov
For the first time a crowded place made him feel restless. He was trying to find their bus stop, but it was at the height of lunch time rush, and there was just a mass of people. Sasaki couldn't even find a secluded spot to pull out his phone, and he bit his lip as he continued to try to look over the tops of people's heads.
"Sasaki-senpai!" Suddenly, a familiar touch grabbed hold of his wrist, and all became right with the world.
"Mya-chan..." He muttered his name as those honey eyes beamed at him.
"We're this way. Follow me." Miyano said with such confidence that it was staggering, and Sasaki had to focus on their now linked hands.
Making it through the crowd was much easier as his restlessness evaporated at the sight of his mate. His touch grounded him, and he began to feel what the other was.
Excited. Happy. Joy.
By the time they made it to the bus stop, the sight of the rest of their packmates really made Sasaki elated. The bus was nice, and it would be all to themselves for the trip, courtesy of the PPA.
Sasaki helped put their bags up in the overhead carriers, and Miyano gestured for him to take the window seat.
"It's an hour long trip, did you bring something with you?" Miyano asked him, and Sasaki smiled as he brought out his phone and ear buds.
"I brought something to listen to. Did you bring some manga?"
"Yeah! And, um, some light novels..." Miyano showed his collection he had tucked away in his carry-on bag, and Sasaki grinned even more.
"Mya-chan, are you really gonna read all that?"
Miyano flushed and pouted, and Sasaki really had to fight the urge to kiss those adorable lips. "Well, I brought some extra in case Fujimi-chan or Yokota-san needs something to read."
"What about me?" Sasaki whispered, smirking now, and it made Miyano blush harder.
"Y-Yes, I brought a new one for you to read..."
Sasaki chuckled, delighted. "Thanks, Mya-chan!"
"Everyone ready to go?" Hirano double-checked with everyone before taking his seat so the driver could start their departure. Despite the large bus, the pack stayed close together in the middle of it.
Sasaki listened to music and stared out the window. The mild chatter from his packmates was a pleasant background noise, and the warm presence of Miyano beside him made him feel so content he could just doze off.
"Sasaki?" Miyano called out to him, and his whole body turned to the sound.
"Yeah, Mya-chan?"
The head omega pointed to his ear buds curiously. "What are you listening to?"
"Oh! Wanna listen? This is the band that made that theme song for the BL drama you like." He handed over an ear bud to him and Miyano took it.
"They have other music?" Miyano asked as he listened to the sweet melody.
