The Bus
I was awakened by a slight shaking of my body.
"Minji. Wake up."
Fluttering my eyes open I saw Han shaking me with a smile on his face.
I immediately felt better.
His face was all I had to see to feel happy.
I bring my hand to rub my eye and fix my hair as I sit up.
"What time is it?"
"It's 8:30 am. We leave at 10. Get ready."
With that, he left.
Indeed, I did get my shoes off last night.
I take a quick shower, brush my teeth and put on a fresh outfit.
When I got out of the room I found the three of them drinking coffee.
"There's one for you in the kitchen."
I grab it and sit on the couch next to Minho.
"Okay. There is a bus station just down the street and a bus at 10 am. I hope Mr. Wang won't be too hard on you the first month."
I take a sip with a curious face.
"Is that the principal?"
"Yeah. Just to let you know, he's really strict. You must be polite at all times. Don't let that slip away."
Minho made a serious face taking a few sips.
"I'll note it down."
"Let's start making breakfast. I think the best option is some sandwiches. Fast and easy."
Jeongin got up and went to the kitchen.
Soon we all followed after him.
We were waiting for the bus that'll come at any minute.
The morning sky and atmosphere of Busan were just like in animes and dramas.
It's just, my life is not even close to a drama.
"I can't wait to settle in. It's too many happenings in a short time."
Jeongin brushed his silky black hair.
He wore a white oversized shirt with a beige sweater vest and black trousers.
I liked his style so much.
He was the definition of cute and handsome.
A felt something on the top of my head.
I turn to Han to see his hand on top of my head while his face was pretty close.
"You had something in your hair."
I stare into his eyes feeling fluttering in my stomach.
The heat rose to my cheeks.
He brushes his brown locks while I capture in the corner of my eye that he bit his lip.
He was dressed in black trousers and a dark grey oversized shirt with a few long silver necklaces.
Ahhh, it's appealing.
Calm down, Minji.
He moved back because the bus just came.
The huge silver gates stood in front of us.
The grey fence wasn't that tall but it was thick.
You could see the yard of the school full of trees and a fountain in the distance.
Han brought out a card putting it on a small square on the gate.
The gates started opening immediately.
Two guards came out of somewhere giving us a stern look before bowing a little.
We bow too while we encounter the dark green trees and the pavement that led to the school.
It took us around 5 to 10 minutes to get to the tall white blue building.
It was a three stories tall building that had so many windows and the arrangement of the school looked like the letter "n."
It had a few pillars around it that seemed like they were sculptured in ancient times.
It stood out that it was a mix of ancient and modern architecture.
In the middle was a fountain and a tree that had pink flowers all over it.
A few benches surrounded it.
You could see a few guards on the corner of the school.
As we approached it they bowed a few times so did we.
After we went through the big front door we were greeted by the principal.
"Oh welcome! Good morning Han, Jeongin, how are you?"
We bow with huge respect while they step out a little.
"Good morning Mr. Wang! We're doing great."
"May I know who is this girl?"
I bow a little again.
"I'm Kang Minji."
"So you are new here. I'll assign Han and Jeongin to show you around. Afterward, you'll come to my office."
We excuse ourselves before we enter the main hall.
The interior is pretty simple but still very nice.
The walls are painted in a combination of white a dark blue.
The floors are light grey with a few brown benches all over the hallways.
On the walls were a lot of different portraits of certain important people now and throughout history.
The windows also brought in the light next to big crystal chandeliers.
It was such an elegant atmosphere.
"So this is the main hall, you can sit around here and maybe do something with your friends or something."
Han gestured to an oak table in the corner with benches around it.
We went right, to the right wing of the school.
"In this right-wing are classrooms, a cafeteria, a sports hall, and an extra exercise hall."
The interior was the same but there were a lot of hallways and rooms. They showed me everything but I don't remember any of it now.
"The left wing consists of student dorms, a library, and an extra study room."
The interior had a slight change.
The walls were painted only in dark blue and on the walls were pictures of previous generations and beautiful scenery.
Right now, the only thing I remembered was where was the library.
We were headed towards the principal's office.
I was nervous but I had to stay strong.
