Again

"Let me take your order."
Chan was happy to see Han again. It was written all over him.
"We'll take two bungeoppangs and some iced coffee."
Just like we both love it.
"Right."
In a minute we got our orders as Chan sat in front of us.
"So how have you been? You didn't tell me Minji will come this time."
He shrugs his shoulders as he takes a sip of his coffee.
"Well, things changed. She's studying here now."
Chan widens his eyes taking a sip himself.
"Wow, I feel left out man. Do you go to the same uni as him?"
I nod, "Yeah just a different major."
"So how is it?"
I look out the window observing the evening scenery of the town.
"Everything is posh and fancy. It feels weird but the atmosphere is nice and the principal seems nice."
"He's only nice because the school didn't start yet."
As Han said that I saw a familiar blonde head walking past the bakery.
The memories flood back to me.
I felt the heat rise to my cheeks.
I'm glad I didn't forget to bring his drawings.
What happened there, stays there.
But I couldn't erase the feelings.
"Ji?"
Han snaps me back.
"What is it?"
"Oh, I just got lost in thought."
They continue talking while I take a bite of the fish pastry.
As I hum I could see Chan smiling.
"They're awesome, right?"
I nod taking another bite.

We talked a lot and there were a few sips of my coffee left when Han got a call.
"I'll step out for a minute."
That leaves Chan and me at the table.
He seemed relaxed while I was a little nervous.
"You met Han's stepsister right?"
Chan asked with an unreadable face.
"Yes, just a day before we came here. She's such a nice girl."
He nods. "She is. You'll have to meet my sister too." He seemed excited.
"Guys. I have to go to Minho's real quick. Chan, could you stay with her until I come back?"
I watch his reaction.
A sparkle twirled in his eye.
"Of course. I'll close in an hour so she won't be bored."
Han thanks him before leaving.
"There won't be many customers anymore, maybe just two or three so we can talk in peace."
As I finish up my coffee he takes it and washes it while talking.
"Do you have any siblings?"
Nah shit.
"Oh um, yes. A brother and a sister. Both are older than me. They're not that interesting at all."
I could see something in his eyes but I couldn't read it.
"Then you experienced both sides, which one is better?"
The question lingered in the air before I spoke up, "Definitely brother."
He laughs softly.
"I'm sure my sister thinks so too."
Chan made a big smirk before we both laughed at his grimaces.
The jingle sounded off suggesting that customers are coming in.
Chan walks to the counter as I stare at the painting on the wall remembering the Slovenia trip.
A tap on my shoulder broke me out of a trance.
When I turned back, there he stood.
"Hyunjin?"
He immediately smiled brushing his blonde locks.
"I found you again."
"What are you doing here? I thought you study in the US."
He sits next to me.
"I thought so too. How are you?"
Suddenly I felt nervous.
"I'm good. So which uni are you going to?"
"I'm going to Raven Academy."
What? He goes to the same uni as me, no fucking way.
"Really? I go there too!"
"What a coincidence."
He stirred a little in his seat, I could see that he wanted to say something.
"I'm free this Sunday do you wanna go for some ice cream again?"
Hyunjin had a shy smile on his lips.
"Sure."
He stood up slowly walking away.
"I'll go now. Text me, bye!"
I waved him back and Hyunjin left.

I observed what Chan was doing.
He was just finishing up with a customer.
I heard Chan say, "I'm closing in a minute, the pastries will be ready in the morning."
Then the person left as he locked the bakery.
"My God. There are so many annoying people."
I stand up gathering my stuff.
"Can I help you?"
Chan shakes his head, "No everything is clean and done I just have to take off my uniform and we can go."
Walking to the back door Chan was already done.
"Let's go."
We walked out the back door and sat on the bench that was in front of the bakery.
"I would gladly walk you to the uni but I don't know the way in."
I shake my head, "it's okay, Han will come soon anyway."
We talked a little before two people came by our bench.
I felt Chan shifts in his seat lifting his chin in authority.
Those males were dressed formally in black clothes.
One of them had a scar near his eyebrow that stuck out underneath his black hair.
The other one had a sharp jaw and eyes with light brown hair.
The atmosphere was thick and I didn't know what to do.
"Hey CB. Long time no see."
