Exhaustion

Chan remained seated as those two kept their smirks on.
"What do you need now?"
He spat at them and I felt his power from just this sentence.
"Who's the chick? Why not introduce us?"
I looked at Chan from the corner of my eye to see him shifting his jaw.
"Stop. Answer my question."
They got serious now.
"There's a meeting in a week. Make sure you bring everyone. Spearb should contact you about the information you need to know. Mr. Park insists on your attendance."
Chan nods taking a few deep breaths.
What are they talking about?
"Send my message to CS that we'll need to talk about some things. You can go now."
They nodded with a small smirk before leaving.
I didn't want to ask anything so I just continued to observe the night streets.
"I'm sorry for them. They're always problematic."
Shaking my head I give him a gentle smile.
"It's fine. They didn't do anything. Anyway, what's your sister's name?"
I could see a small smile that formed on his lips.
"Hannah. She's very cocky and funny when you get to know her."
The sigh I made was noticed by Chan.
"What's wrong?"
Shaking my head I answer, "it's nothing just worried about something."
"Guys I'm sorry for waiting!"
The familiar voice was heard from down the street.
"Everything good?"
Han answered me with a nod.
"We can go now, I don't want to hold you back anymore Chan."
Chan shakes his head, "No problem man. I would feel bad if I left her all alone. Call me when you come back, I have some news for you."

We waved to Chan before we crossed the street.
It was dark already and I was exhausted by everything.
I could only follow Han where was he going since my brain was telling me I should sleep.
Again, Han received a call and told me to go forward he'll stay right behind me.
I could hear some mumbling behind me as my legs lead me to the school. Or so I thought.
As I was repeatedly blinking, focusing on staying awake, I didn't notice that I went off track.
My mind was filled with different colors and emptiness as my head pleaded for sleep.
That's when I felt a hand around my elbow pulling me forward.
The person, who I think is Han lead me a little bit quicker making me wake up.
"Han why-"
This is not Han.
I pull my hand a few from the person and step back.
"Who are you?!"
The person wore a black hoodie. As it took off the hood it was a guy.
A creepy one.
I realized it was the guy that was talking to Chan a while ago.
The fear crawled up to me but I suppress it focusing to calm down.
His grin on his mouth was wide from ear to ear.
The intentions of this guy were not good at all.
Looking around I recognized the place, it was just a street away from my school.
I knew it because Han luckily made a wrong turn last time and we ended up on this small street.
Everything around us was dark, only the street lights showed us the path.
I felt anxiousness and panic fill my body.
The male took a step forward and it was all I needed to start running back.
The only thing I could hear right now was the loud thumping of my shoes on the concrete floor.
It echoed through the street.
Where the hell is Han?!
This guy was at my heels but I kept running to the school.
"I'll catch you anyway."
After his stern words, I felt pressure on my back that made me fall to the ground, scratching my arms.
The guy was on top of me while I tried to figure out how should I get him off of me.
Since he was kneeling right above my leg I whack my leg upwards and hit him in between the legs.
He groans loudly as I hit him again before getting up and running further away.
In the distance, I could see a silhouette running toward me.
Everything was spinning around me I could only focus on the figure.
My breath was unstable as I tried to run as fast as I could.
My legs were throbbing.
I could recognize that it was Han.
I still didn't understand how I got there and how did I even get myself into that position.
Then I heard loud steps behind me again but I run even faster just enough to reach my friend.
Han grabs onto my hand pushing me behind him as the male approaches us with a few groans.
I tried my best to calm myself down and breathe normally.
"XJ. What do you think you're doing?"
Han spat venom at the male who had a smirk plastered on his face.
"Don't know. Trying to shoot my shot."
I nervously shifted my legs as Han chuckled at his answer with arrogance.
"That way? The only thing that's going to be shot is your head. Mr. Park will be notified of your behavior."
Han put a hand over my shoulder and pulled me with him.
"I'm so sorry Minji. I left you there all alone. Please forgive me. Bad things could've-"
I noticed the tears forming in his eyes.
"Han. I'm fine. Everything is alright. No need to worry."
Stroking his back I could see he felt relieved.
"But-"
"No buts. You came just in time. Thanks."
"Thank God nothing bad happened."
"I felt such power when I hit him there."
When I said that he laughed with tears disappearing from his eyes.
"I would not want to be in his place."
We were finally in front of the uni's gates.
Relief came over to me and the adrenalin left my body.
That's when exhaustion came again.
At least I was safe with Han.
