BASIL surveys his surroundings while preparing to leave. He grooms his dirty blonde hair in the mirror before grabbing his backpack.

'Time to go to school...', BASIL mumbles to himself.

He yawns and goes out of the bathroom and into the kitchen. Polly is seen cooking breakfast.

'G..Good morning POLLY...!', BASIL nervously says.

POLLY sighs before giving him a tired smile.

'Good morning, BASIL.', POLLY continues to cook.

Sitting at the table, BASIL glances at the wall clock and sees that it's almost 7:30 AM. He rubs his eyes and briefly closes them, then opens them to find that food has been served in front of him.

'Oh, uhm thank you POLLY..!', BASIL says with a smile.

BASIL's hair was aggressively ruffled by POLLY as she rolled her eyes. She then smirked before heading back to the kitchen. BASIL blinked and fixed his hair. He pouts a little but quickly goes back to a little smile. He picks up his fork and starts digging into his waffles. He finishes his waffles and stands up. He looks at the clock again. The bus should be picking him up soon since the school was a little far. He found it kind of weird that the school wasn't exactly in town. He waves goodbye to POLLY who seemed to be too busy with the dishes. He opens the front door and heads out, the forecast said it was going to rain later.

'It seems like a nice day out.', BASIL looks up before walking to the bus stop.

Several children from the neighborhood were gathered, waiting for the bus. BASIL scans the group for his friends, but only sees SUNNY and KEL. AUBREY must have decided to stay home. He walks towards them but slows down to see them arguing about something. Why were they arguing? They never argued before.

'MARI was your sister! How...How could you say something like that, SUNNY?!', KEL yells.

SUNNY makes a 'tch' sound and rolls his eyes.

'She was never my sister...! Maybe if you weren't so blind and naive you would see what she had done to me!', SUNNY yells back.

'Done to you? She was a kind person, she would never hurt anyone! And even if she did why didn't you say anything.', KEL crosses his arms, frowning.

'I don't wanna argue with you again KEL...Stop trying to pick fights with me..', SUNNY turns away.

'I'm not picking fights SUNNY...I just want you to stop talking bad about MARI.', KEL frowns more.

SUNNY doesn't say anything, all there could be heard was a loud sigh.

BASIL walks up to the two, rubbing his arm nervously.

'W..Whats going on..?', BASIL looks at KEL.

KEL looks at BASIL while SUNNY just outright ignores him.

'Oh hey BASIL..! Me and SUNNY just had a little fight, that's all. We'll be alright!', KEL smiles.

'A..fight? Oh...', BASIL looks away.
