A/N: This book has a bad ending and a good/true ending. The bad ending will be this chapter and will not be the canon ending. This bad ending takes place on where Basil doesn't exactly go with Kel's advice.

TW: Foul language, Suicide, Self-Harm, Murder

KEL's hand remained on BASIL's shoulder, a supportive presence. He looked into BASIL's eyes and spoke softly but firmly, 'You can't keep things waiting forever, BASIL. How about you go upstairs and talk to him? You'll have to talk to him at some point, right? It doesn't have to be a big confrontation, just a conversation to clear the air. Who knows, it might lead to something positive.'

BASIL let out another deep sigh, his internal turmoil evident on his face. He gave a reluctant nod and muttered, 'I guess you're right, KEL. I'll try. I'll go talk to him.'

KEL's smile grew slightly, a mix of pride and encouragement in his expression. 'That's all I'm asking for. Just give it a shot. It might not be easy, but taking that step could be worth it.'

BASIL nodded again, his shoulders still weighed down by the weight of the situation. 'Yeah, I'll... I'll go see what he has to say.'

His footsteps were hesitant as he ascended the stairs, each step echoing his own uncertainty. He reached the landing and stood before the closed door of SUNNY's room. With a deep breath, he raised his hand to the doorknob and turned it slowly, pushing the door open.

As the door creaked open, a chilling sensation washed over him. The room felt different, heavy with an unsettling atmosphere. His gaze fell upon the floor, where he noticed dark stains – patches of crimson that seemed to contrast sharply against the pale floorboards. His heart began to race, a sense of unease creeping up his spine.

He stepped inside cautiously, his eyes darting around, trying to make sense of the eerie scene that lay before him. The first thing he noticed, before even looking at SUNNY, was the inner doorknob, which was smeared with blood. His heart pounded harder as he stared at the crimson stain, his mind racing with a jumble of terrifying possibilities.

His gaze then shifted to the center of the room, and that's when he saw SUNNY – hunched over, sitting on the floor, with a knife clutched tightly in his hand. The glint of the blade in the dim light sent a jolt of fear through BASIL's body.

As he took another step closer, his ears caught a haunting sound – SUNNY muttering in a low, almost psychotic way, 'It's not enough... not enough... not enough...'

BASIL's breath caught in his throat as he finally looked at SUNNY's arm – it was covered in cuts, fresh wounds that oozed blood, dripping onto the floor below. The sight was horrifying, and it sent shivers of shock and fear down his spine.

Confusion and anger mixed within him as he spoke, his voice shaky but accusatory, 'SUNNY, what are you doing? Is this some kind of sick trick?!'

However, as his words lingered in the tense atmosphere, another unsettling event took place. The once eerie silence shattered abruptly, broken by the sharp sound of SUNNY's laughter. The giggles echoed around the room, their tone high-pitched and uneven, causing an involuntary shiver to run down BASIL's back. This wasn't the laughter of amusement; it held no happiness. Instead, it held a disturbing, almost tangible undercurrent of craziness.
