A/N: The start of the Good Ending is here! The beginning will start out the same with some slight differences so don't mind the repetition. The fight will have Basils thoughts on the situation unlike the BAD ENDING.
TW: Foul Language, Self harm
KEL's hand remained on BASIL's shoulder, a supportive presence. He looked into BASIL's eyes and spoke softly but firmly, 'You can't keep things waiting forever, BASIL. How about you go upstairs and talk to him? You'll have to talk to him at some point, right? It doesn't have to be a big confrontation, just a conversation to clear the air. Who knows, it might lead to something positive.'
BASIL let out another deep sigh, his internal turmoil evident on his face. He gave a reluctant nod and muttered, 'I guess you're right, KEL. I'll try. I'll go talk to him.'
KEL's smile grew slightly, a mix of pride and encouragement in his expression. 'That's all I'm asking for. Just give it a shot. It might not be easy, but taking that step could be worth it.'
BASIL nodded again, his shoulders still weighed down by the weight of the situation. 'Yeah, I'll... I'll go see what he has to say.'
He turned to leave, his footsteps heavy with a mix of determination and apprehension. As he took a step away, KEL gently caught his hand, stopping him in his tracks. Looking at him, KEL's eyes held a hint of understanding.
'Wait,' KEL said, his grip on BASIL's hand firm yet gentle. 'Don't forget about what I said, alright? I know how you can be.' KEL's words were laced with a touch of teasing, accompanied by a knowing smile.
BASIL couldn't help but pout, a faint smile tugging at the corners of his lips. He nodded in response, appreciating KEL's concern and support. 'Yeah, yeah,' he muttered playfully, giving a small chuckle. 'I'll keep it in mind.'
With that, he turned again and began making his way towards the staircase leading upstairs. The tension in his shoulders hadn't completely eased, but KEL's words had managed to inject a glimmer of hope into his heart.
As BASIL climbed the stairs, KEL's voice floated up to him, warm and encouraging. 'Be careful, lil bro.' KEL's endearing smile accompanied the words, offering a final boost of confidence.
BASIL paused in his tracks, his steps halted by KEL's endearing words. His cheeks flushed with a deep shade of pink, and his eyes glistened with unshed tears. KEL's simple term of endearment, "lil bro," touched his heart. He didn't think he would be called 'brother' especially by KEL.
He turned back towards KEL, his voice slightly choked with emotion. 'KEL,' he began, his words trembling with gratitude. 'Thank you... You really do mean the world to me.' A single tear escaped the corner of his eye, and he quickly wiped it away with the back of his hand, trying to regain his composure.
KEL's smile remained, warm and reassuring, as he watched his little brothers emotional response. He understood the weight of the situation and how important this conversation was for BASIL. 'You've got this,' he said, his voice filled with unwavering support. 'And remember, I'm here for you, always.'
