TW: Child Abuse, Foul Language.
SUNNY's mother, overwhelmed by the escalating confrontation, reached her breaking point. Filled with frustration, she quickly crossed the room and grabbed BASIL by the arm, her grip firm and unyielding.
'Enough!' she exclaimed, her voice quivering with a mix of anger and desperation.
BASIL winced as SUNNY's mother's grip tightened around his arm, her frustration evident. He attempted to pull away, his voice filled with protest.
'Let go of me you bitch!' he demanded, his voice tinged with defiance. 'You can't silence me just because you don't want to hear the truth. We can't ignore the pain SUNNY has caused and pretend everything is fine!'
'You don't understand,' she retorted, her voice strained. 'You're just making things worse. This is a family matter, and we will handle it in our own way.'
BASIL's frustration deepened as he realized his protest fell on deaf ears. He tried once more to free himself from her grip, his voice filled with determination.
'I won't let you sweep this under the rug,' he asserted, his voice laced with a mix of defiance and disappointment. 'SUNNY's actions have consequences, and they CAN'T be ignored.'
SUNNY's mother's grip tightened even more, her frustration mounting. 'You're just a friend, BASIL,' she snapped, her voice filled with condescension.
As the tension between BASIL and SUNNY's mother escalated, KEL, who had been observing the confrontation, felt compelled to intervene. Concern etched on his face, he stepped forward and reached out to separate them, attempting to diffuse the situation.
'Hey, let's calm down,' KEL interjected, his voice filled with urgency. 'We're all upset, but getting physical won't help anyone. We need to find a way to resolve this peacefully.'
However, his attempt to intervene proved unsuccessful as SUNNY's mother shrugged off KEL's touch, her grip on BASIL's arm remaining firm and unyielding.
'Don't interfere,' she snapped at KEL, her tone dismissive. 'This is between me and BASIL. We don't need your input.'
KEL's face fell as SUNNY's mother dismissed his attempt to intervene, her tone filled with aggression. He looked down, fear flickering in his eyes, his body trembling with a mix of unease and uncertainty. The tense atmosphere in the room made him question whether he should have spoken up at all.
SUNNY's mother turned her attention back at BASIL, now glaring at him, 'I've had enough of your disrespect.'
She turns and pulls Basil along, her grip still tight. With a forceful shove, she pushed him into the nearby closet, the door closing behind him with a resounding thud.
'Maybe you'll learn your lesson and not talk back.', She mutters, locking it and walking away.
Inside the dark and confined space of the closet, BASIL's heart raced as panic began to set in. The realization of being locked away overwhelmed him, and desperation fueled his actions. He frantically pounded on the closet door, his voice filled with fear and urgency.
