Hours have dragged on since we have left the drop ship. These hours have been filled with many eye rolls and rude comments exchanged between Bellamy and I. Everyone is able to tell how much I can't stand this boy already. Everything he does just annoys me so much. Sometimes, I just want to slam his head into a tree trunk.
I step over a fallen tree. Clarke and Wells has managed to take the lead, while Murphy and Bellamy have been in the back. I've fallen into the middle of them, not really wanting to walk with anyone. Thoughts of Jasper are still flooded in my mind. I just want to find him and save him. That's it. No side plans of any sort. We are here to save my brother.
"Hey, hold up!" Bellamy shouts from behind me.
Ahead of me, Clarke and Wells stop walking and I end up slowing down as I reach them. I spin around in my boots to see what Bellamy's deal is. The two of them march forward. My eyes lock on the gun in Bellamy's hand that he just seems to be waving around, like it's not some dangerous weapon.
"What's the rush? You don't survive a spear through the heart." He continues. The two come to a stop in front of us.
I cross my arms over my chest. "Bellamy, put the gun away before you shoot someone."
Murphy rushes forward, pushing me away with the palm of his hand on my right shoulder. "Well, why don't you do something about it, huh?"
Anger immediately surges through my veins at Murphy's touch. I swat his hand away, pointing my finger in his face, angrily. "You do not touch me."
Murphy reaches out to grab my shoulder. My fists curl by my sides. Wells steps in front of me and Bellamy grabs ahold of Murphy before he can even lay a finger on me.
Clarke glances between the two of us. "Enough!"
I take a few steps back away from them. How dare Murphy even lay a finger one me. I swear, if he does that one more time, my fist is going to collide with his face. Murphy shakes Bellamy's hands off of him.
"Jasper screamed when they moved him. If the spear struck his heart, he'd have died instantly. It doesn't mean we have time to waste." Clarke begins to say once she sees that things have calmed down a little.
"Now, put your gun away." I say before turning around.
Bellamy yanks me back around by my wrist. He grabs my forearm with his other hand, pulling me in closer. "As soon as you take this wristband off, we can go and I'll put the gun away."
I try to yank my hand out of his grasp, but he holds on tightly. "The only way the Ark is gonna think I'm dead is if I'm dead. Got it, Sunshine?"
"Brave, Princess." Bellamy smirks.
My eyes narrow at the nickname. Great. So, Bellamy has decided to use a nickname for me, like I've been doing for him. I yank my arm out of his hands. My face falters a little when he takes a step forward, forcing me to take one back.
"Hey, why don't you find your own nickname?" A voice comes from Murphy and Bellamy. Finn walks up to the five of us. "You call this a rescue party? Got to split up, cover more ground. Clarke, Wren, come with me."
I give Bellamy one more annoyed look before following after Clarke and Finn. "How nice of you to join us, Finn."
Clarke shrugs. "Better late than never."
Finn cracks a smile at the two of us. "I like to think so."
The three of us march ahead, leaving the other three to follow at their own pace. I glance over to Finn, who seems to not have a brought a backpack along. He must have started following us right away.
