Fuming in anger, I plop down on the ground near Clarke, who seems to be analyzing the poultice that was placed on Jasper's wound. The small pain in my hands from clenching my hands so tightly is not enough to distract me from the pissed off thoughts running through my mind. Octavia had forcefully kicked me out of the dropship after my blow out towards Finn. Octavia said to not come back until I was fully calm. Honestly, I think she just thought I needed to get out of the dropship for a little bit. I hardly ever leave.
Finn crouches down beside me with an apologetic look on his face. I bite down on my tongue and refuse to even glimpse in his direction. When I left the dropship, I made sure to stay as far as I could away from him, afraid I would start yelling again.
"Wren-"
I hold up my finger to stop him from saying anymore. "Don't."
Finn sighs. From my peripheral vision, I see Finn hang his head. "You're mad." He takes notice.
A forced, sarcastic laugh floats out of my mouth. "I'm not mad."
Finn raises a brow in slight amusement. "You're kind of cute when you're mad."
My head snaps towards him, eyes narrowed in annoyance with my lip curling in disgust. "Are you kidding me? You call my brother a lost cause and then you say I'm cute when I'm pissed off at you. You know what you can do? Go walk off a cliff for all I care, Finn. I'm sure there is one around somewhere."
"Whatever this stuff is," Clarke brings the attention on her. She's probably tired of hearing me go off on Finn. "It has to have had antibiotic properties."
Wells walks over, crouching down beside Clarke. He reaches out for the poultice in her hand. "Let me take a look." He keeps his eyes on the medicine as Clarke gives him a dirty look for even approaching her. "Before you refuse my help, remember who aced botany in Earth Skills."
Clarke bites down on her lip, interally debating whether to let Wells help us. I shove my elbow in her side, nodding. Right now, we need all the help we can get.
She sighs, "The Grounders used it as a poultice. I'm thinking a tea might be even more effective if we can figure out what it is."
Wells pinches some of the medicine in between his fingers. "I know what it is. Seaweed." He states, like it is rather obvious.
I lean in closer to get a better look at the red medicine. How in the world did Wells be able to tell that was what it was? It just looks like some weird red substance to me.
Wells holds it out for me to see it better. "Look, no root structure."
I nod my head. "So, that must mean that there is a water source nearby."
"Yeah, it would have to have a slow current, lots of rocks. The water would probably be more red than green."
A place pops into my mind. "Like, the place that Octavia got attacked."
"I know just the place." Finn says, simultaneously.
Clarke climbs to her feet, ignoring the glare I give Finn. "Alright. Let's go."
I push myself up from the ground covered in dead leaves. "I'm coming with."
"What about Jasper?" Clarke motions towards the dropship with her eyes.
"There's no way that I'm going to let you guys go and get what is supposed to save Jasper by yourselves. What if you grab the wrong thing?" My arms cross over my chest, stubbornly.
