The Flames of Friendship (Natsu's Sister Fanfic)

Explanation

The entire guild was dumbfound. An awkward silence took over the guild. No one knew what to say. Natsu who was still in shock from the blow of being knocked to the ground, looked down to see long pink locks of hair. The figure looked up and revealed dark, yet sparkling onyx eyes. She had long spiky pink hair, pointy canine teeth, and she too had a over-sized white scarf hanging around her neck in a way that looked like she had shrunk from her intended size, into a small imp-like creature.

"No way...Sue! Is that really you? Where have you been?" Natsu exclaimed, embracing the young girl, "I missed you!"

"I did too you big dummy! What were you thinking running off like that, leaving me all alone!" Sue exclaimed with a cheerful smile lighting up her face.

 They began having a  full on conversation on the floor, in the middle of the guildhall, until Makarov, the guild master interrupted them. 

"I'm sorry brat, but who are you?" He asked, tilting his head to one side to get a look of the newcomer.

Sue got up and dusted herself off as Natsu went back to fighting the raven haired boy. 

"My name is Sue Dragneel and I guess you could say I'm Natsu's sister. We are not related by blood but we were both raised together." She explained as her eyes seemed to have a distant look in them. "I am really sorry for barging into your house and causing such a mess, I should have knocked before I came in!"

The old man held a surprised look on his face as he said, "Well its quite alright, don't apologize for that! That was probably the most normal thing that can happen in here. And this is not my house, this is our home, the Fairy Tail guild!" And with that he spread his arms wide and received a large cheer from everyone in the hall. 

A red haired girl that looked no older than Natsu walked up to Sue and said, "Hi my name is Erza Scarlet but you can call me Erza. Its nice to meet you." 

"Nice to meet you Erza, I'm Sue Dragneel. But you can call me Sue!" She said, stretching out her hand.

 Erza smiled and shook it, "You said you were Natsu's sister but I don't understand what do you mean? Were you were raised together? Natsu always said he was raised by----" 

"Igneel." Sue interrupted. "Igneel raised us both. He found Natsu and then me. But about five months ago he disappeared." 

"But how come you and Natsu didn't arrive here at the same time?" Erza asked. 

"That's because....well, the day after Igneel disappeared Natsu ran off to go find him." Sue explained. "I don't blame him for leaving me though, he was so worried and afraid I knew all he wanted was to find Igneel at all costs."

"Does that mean you have fire dragonslayer magic too?" Asked Erza.

At the moment the raven haired boy interrupted them, "Hey I'm Gray. If you are that flame-brain's sister, does that mean you are as weak and annoying as him?" he said with a smug look on his face. 

Somewhere from the back of the guild hall Natsu yelled, "Shut up ice princess! I'm not weak or annoying!"

Gray ignored him and kept stare at Sue, as if he was expecting an answer. At the back of the hall Natsu was shaking his head in disbelief as if Gray was going to regret what he was about to do.

Sue simply smiled a funny grin and said, "What's got you all worked up Frosty?"

"Frosty?! You don't know me! How do you go around calling me names?"

"Hey hey, chill out. But seriously I can feel the below negative temperatures you're emitting from a mile away. Are they paying you to keep everyone's drink cool, Frosty?"

Out of no where Gray threw a fast punch at Sue, but like a flash of lightning Sue caught his hand.

"What the...." Gray said in disbelief. 

At that moment without letting go of his hand, she twisted it around his head and flung him rocketing through the air. He slammed against the wall leaving a giant crater. He slid off the wall and hit the floor like a brick.

"Whoops, I may have overdone it." Sue said, concerned. "Are you okay over there?!" 

There was no answer.

"Ehh he'll be alright. I give him a beating like that at least once a day!" Natsu said cockily.

"Alright... if you say so. I don't want to leave a bad impression." Sue said, turning back towards Erza to continue the conversation. "I'm sorry we got interrupted, where were we?"

"We were discussing you magical abilities." The redhead said with slight irritation towards Gray. "I'm sorry Gray is causing you so much trouble. We truly are a good guild"

"You don't have to tell me anything for me to see that this place is amazing." Sue said, spinning in a circle.

From the back of the hall, Gray slowly got back to his feet. A white cloud began to form around his hands. He quietly whispered, "Ice-make spear." 

A crystal clear spear with jagged edges went slicing through the air, straight toward the back of Sue's head. Just as the spear was ready to make contact, Sue disappeared.
