The Tenrou Tree

Hey hey everyone!!! Nice to see ya again! I'm sorry if my grammar sucks but here is another chapter for you wonderful people!!!

Natsu's POV~

Sue grabbed my hand tightly and started running towards the Tenrou Tree in the middle of the island.

"Wait up." I said.

Sue tired around and smiled, "C'mon Natsu! Let win this thing!"

"Yea I promise that I will make you an S-class wizard." I said.

"Alright then! It's a promise! I'll hold you to it!" She said with that smile of hers.

Before I realized it, we were at the bottom of the tree. I went first and began to climb up the trunk. It was surprisingly easy. I marveled at the ease of the task. 

This'll be a piece of cake.

I spoke too fast.

Already 5 minutes into climbing, I heard an explositive sound come from my right. I turned just in time to see two explosive cannonballs rocketing towards me and Sue.

"DUCK!" I shouted. 

"A duck? What are you talkin...AHHH" She said, dodging it just in time. "Whew that was a close one! Haha I'll be more careful next time!"

I forgot how much of an airhead she can be. I swear its like shes in her own little world sometimes.

"Ladidadiada!" Sue hummed to herself. "Natsu! Cannon ball at 9 o'clock!" She shouted. 

I slid down three feet of the trunk so it would fly over my head.

"Sue! One is coming from above! Get to the side!" I yelled from below.

Sue was holding on the tree with one hand as she yelled, "Fire Dragon---"

"No Sue! No magic!" I interrupted.

The flames in her hand sputtered away. But it was too late; she took the cannonball headfirst. She lost her grip and began falling towards the forest below.

 "Ssuuuuueeeee!!!" I yelled as I caught her hand.

We were about 80 feet off the ground, but her hand was slipping. I look into her worried eyes, I couldn't hold the weight of both of us for much longer.

Suck it up Natsu!!! 

 On my left shoulder was a little devil version of me. Jeez Natsu. How do you expect to protect Sue now, you good for nothing Flame Brain! It continued.

Then an angel version of me appeared on my right shoulder. I don't normally like to agree with him, but he's right. You're a good for nothing FLAME BRAIN. Said the angel.

"Hey I thought the angel was supposed to be on my side!" I said. "AND DON'T CALL ME A FLAME BRAIN!"

Sue sweat dropped and said, "That's it. He's finally lost it. My brother has official gone crazy."

The angel and the devil were now flying above my head yelling, FLAME BRAIN, FLAME BRAIN, Natsu is a FLAME BRAIN!!!

"SHUT UP!!! GET OUT OF MY HEAD!!!"

"Natsu." Sue said. "At this rate we will both fall. Let me go. The tournament isn't everything. I'll just use my wings."

"No way Sue!!!" I said. "I won't let you go! I promised, I was going to make you an S-class wizard! And I plan to make that happen!!!"

I lifted her up and she held on to the tree.

"Then---" She began just as a cannonball flew right by my head.

 "That was wayyy too close!" I said.

 "Yeah!" Said Sue as she began hysterically laughing.

"What's up? Why are you laughing?" I said.

"I really thought you had gone crazy!!! What was that about an angel?" She said wiping tears of laughter from her eyes.

"It was nothin!" I said, blushing.

We kept climbing and dodging cannonballs. I looked over to the end of the tree to see Erza and Gray dealing with their own trouble.

"Hey Gray!" I said, "Race ya to the top!"

"You're on flame brain!" I heard from a distance. 

That-little, I'll show him!

 As we continued advancing it became easier and easier to climb and dodge cannonballs. Before we knew it we had reached the top of the tree.

By that point, we were both panting heavily and drenched in sweat.

"Hey Natsu, look!" Said Sue. I turned to see where she was pointing out to see the view.

We could see the entire island along with the blue sea. The island was covered in lush vegetation and the ocean sparkled sunlight on its calm waves.

"Wow." I said in awe.

"It's beautiful. No wonder its Fairy Tail's sacred grounds." Said Sue, admiring the scenery.

Me and Sue fist bumped as we looked over to Gray and Erza, who were also left breathless by the view.

"Ha we beat you!" I said triumphantly.

 "Are you kidding me? We clearly beat you!" Said Gray.

 "No way Popsicle Princess! We beat you!" Shot Sue.

As we were arguing Erza came and bashed all three of our heads together and said, "Stop fighting you numbskulls!"

"Well my skull is definitely numb now, thanks to someone.." Said Sue, rubbing her pink head.

Just then we saw MiraJane and Loke reach the top of the tree. "Hey Erza, I could hear your annoying voice all the way from the bottom of the tree!" Sneered MiraJane.

"Well if it isn't Miss ButterFingers. Have fun falling of the tree? It was so funny I almost lost my grip!" Shot Erza.

"Hey whatcha say Flat-Chested?" Asked MiraJane.

"Oh, I'm sorry! Are you as deaf as you are stupid. I'll repeat myself for you. I said that when you guys were knocked off the tree it was HILARIOUS!!!" Erza shouted.

"HEY GUYS!!! Stop fighting!!!" Yelled Sue as she slammed her foot on the ground making the entire tree shake.

"O-oh okay.." Said Erza, caught completely off guard.

 "Or what?" Said MiraJane.

In an instant, Sue picked up Mira with ease, princess style, and began rocking her over the edge of the tree. 

"Here we go!" Sue said, with a big lurch forward.

"I'm sorry. I'm sorry! I won't do it again, just please put me down!!!!" Mira whimpered.

"That's better." Said Sue with a sweet smile.

Note to self: NEVER make Sue angry! She will literally KILL you!!!

"Alright Natsu! Let go to the teleporter. We got #1 guys." Said Sue. "Hey, by the way, where are Cana and Levy? Do you think they made it alright?"

"We're here!!!" Said Cana struggling to get to the top of the tree.

"C'mon Sue! I hope we get Laxus so we can kick his ass! I'll knock that smug look of his right off his face!"

"You bet!" Said Sue and we both walked into the teleporter and vanished.
