Madelyn's POV:

It was the next morning. I realized I had slept cuddled in Chase's arms all night. He was warm and comforting. I'm glad we talked about my eating disorder struggles last night. I feel a lot closer to him now knowing that I am capable of opening up like that.

It was 10 AM. Chase sighed and looked down to see my eyes staring back at him lovingly.

"Good morning, beautiful. How are you feeling?" he asked, his voice scratchy.

"Better, thanks for being there for me last night. I love you." I responded.

"I love you too. You should still talk to your mom though. I didn't want to make it seem like I didn't want you to go to your mom. I just wanted you to tell me what was going on" Chases said.

"No I know, I get it. We should be able to talk to each other about everything, even the deep stuff." I said with a cheeky smile.

"C'mon, I'll make you something for breakfast. Smoothie? Breakfast burrito? What do you want?" he said.

"A kiss." I said

He rolled over, now on top of me and tickled my stomach. I laughed and squirmed. Chase had the ability to lighten the mood in any room.

"Right now?" I asked.

"Yeah, do you want to?" he said.

"Obviously." I responded.

He kissed my neck. I felt the scratchiness of his scruffy facial hair on my face. I ran my fingers through his hair which was getting longer.

"Take this off." he said referring to the oversized shirt I was wearing as pajamas. It was his. He touched me in a loving way and then we had sex.

I hopped in the shower afterwards.

"Hey babe? Do you still want a smoothie?" he asked from the kitchen of our apartment.

When I got out of the shower, he was waiting in the bedroom with my robe and a glass filled with what looked to be a berry smoothie.

"Why thank you sir" I said smiling.

"You are so gorgeous, even with no make up on. Do you know that?" Chase asked as he held up my robe for my arms to slide into.

I kissed him and he held my cheeks in his hands staring like a puppy into my eyes.

"I feel the same way about you." I whispered.

"You think I look beautiful without make up?" he joked.

"Of course" I said as I took a sip of the smoothie.

I called my mom later. I told her about last night and how Chase comforted me.

"I was scared," I said to my mom on the phone. "I didn't want him to see me differently or anything."

"He's a good guy Mads," she responded, "I'm proud of you for telling him. And just so you know, you can always come over at 4 AM if you need to, Dad and I are here for you."

I chuckled. I know mom and dad have been missing me since I moved out. They were only 30 minutes away but I am always so busy and our schedules don't line up regularly.

"We should do lunch next weekend, you and dad, and me and Chase." I proposed.

They had met him before but in a more professional sense, before I told them I was in love with him.

"I would love to, I'll talk to your dad." she said.

Chase grabbed me from behind and surprised me

"Who are you talking to?" he asked.

I brought the phone down to the palm of my other hand and said "It's my mom, you can say hi if you want. We're trying to plan a lunch with all of us next week." I said

"I'll leave you two be, but that sounds good."

Chase respects my privacy and I love that about him. Sometimes I just need to have a moment alone to talk to my mom.

Before I hung up my mom said "Madelyn, think about what I said, look at the links I sent you."

"I know, I will. Thank you momma, I love you. See you next week." I responded.
