You sat silently on a nearby rock while everyone around you did their own thing, attempting to cool off after the recent battle, your father washing the clothes he was stuck in. "Blue ain't really my color, but uh... beats looking like that monster, Zhu Ganglie." Pigsy muttered as he flicked the little hat on his head to the side, Tang humming and stating that technically he would be Zhu Bajie. "Oh, no, no. Don't go comparing me to that demon. My name's just plain old Pigsy!" You hummed as your ear flicked over towards your father, playing around with the small cape that you had on your back, the ends of them fraying slightly. It was good to know that your father didn't like his given name, either.

Mei giggled from her spot, balancing her blade on her nose as she questioned if her ancestor was any cool, Tang letting out a nervous laugh at her question. "I wonder when we're gonna meet my ancestor!" Mk spoke out from his spot on the ground, doodling on a spare piece of paper he had found while Mei snorted and told Mk that Wukong was his dad, making Mk look up and narrow his eyes. "He's not my dad, Pigsy's my dad." The boy pointed the crayon he was using over towards his father, making you turn over and narrow your eyes at the two, Pigsy stuttering over his words before giving up on them.

Tang let out a hum as he glanced between everyone in the group before nodding his head, drawing everyone's attention. "Mei does have a point. Mk, the rest of us mysteriously inherited the powers of the Ancient Warriors. However, Monkey King is the only original companion we know for sure is still alive, and yet you have inherited all his powers so... It is possible that--!" Before Tang could continue, Mk appeared behind the man and gave him a rough nudge, toppling Tang off his feet while laughing nervously, refusing to believe the idea before jutting a finger in your direction. "While you do make a good point, I believe Y/n and Macaque have made it very clear that her abilities are self taught, not inherited. There are many key differences in how they both use their powers." Tang cleared his throat as he raised a finger and lightly explained your situation in comparison to his, Mk huffing and sliding over to your side.

A huff came from your nose when Mk roughly patted your shoulder before wrapping his arm around it, dragging you to his side. "Yeah, right! If Monkey King really was my dad, don't you think he would've said something by now?" Blinking and looking down at him, Mei chuckled and sarcastically stated that Wukong was very forthcoming with his information, shrieking as she narrowly dodged her sword that fell off her nose. "Whatever, when we find Monkey King's stone, then we'll just ask him!" Mk perked up as he started to pat your shoulder, your eyes narrowing as everyone else let out noises of confusion when the brunette brought up Wukong's stone.

Looking around at everyone, Mk reluctantly released his hold on you and dug through his robes, pulling out a picture he had drawn earlier. "Monkey King's stone! The one he was born from. Ever since I've got into the scroll I've been having visions of Monkey King, standing next to his stone--!" Mk tried to explain, but was briefly cut off by your father letting out a stutter, questioning why Mk had waited so long to tell you all the fact that he was having visions. "I'm telling you now! If we find the stone, we'll find Monkey King, and he can explain to all of you how he's definitely not my dad, and everything is fine. So, less yapping, more--!" You blinked when your ears picked up on a familiar voice, shouting for Mk as you reached upwards and patted the area briefly.

The moment your hand collided with your ear, the area around you shifted, the sky now illuminated in a dark and murky color, ink billowing from cracks. Electricity crackled through the air momentarily as your eye settles on something behind Mk, swallowing a lump in your throat when you saw a large figure appear. "The scrolls curse, it found us!" Tang shouted as you took a step back towards him, eyeing down the large appearance of Nezha carefully, watching as it crawled out from the puddle it was stuck in.
