Chapter three: Good and bad decisions
As expected, the blond hated being outside at first. Seeing so many people made him want to run back home and never leave his apartment again. But eventually, with the help of Yeonjun, the boy got used to it and ended up liking the idea of being outside. The boy had such a good time at the cinema since Yeonjun was with him and since they watched his favorite type of films. The horror movie the two watched brought Felix satisfaction and it kind of relaxed him in some type of way. The blond has always loved horror movies. He never knew why, he just did.
"Should we go? It's getting late." Felix utters with a grin on his face.
"Sure." the older talks with a smile on his face. Seems like this hangout brought both of them joy. Who would've thought?
The boys walk to Yeonjun's car and enter it. Yeonjun starts the engine, leaving the parking spot almost immediately.
"Wanna listen to some music?" the black haired man utters, receiving a nod from the grinning boy in the passenger seat. "The Neighbourhood?" he smiles as he gazes upon Felix.
"Definitely."
Yeonjun quickly moves his sight back to the road and stops at the red light. The boy searches for the band and finds a playlist he has already made a long time ago. He plays it, the song 'Cry baby' being heard throughout the car that used to be quiet a few moments ago, the sound bringing the boys comfort.
When the chorus came, the boys started loudly singing the lyrics with a grin on their faces. It's been a while since they last did this. They both missed this and the feeling that comes with them being together. How come Felix wouldn't want to hangout with his best friend? Did he really forget the good times they had back in the day? In the end, it seems like the good times came back. Yeonjun couldn't be happier about making the younger feel alive again.
After a numerous number of songs sang by the two, they arrive at the block of flats Felix lives in. They took the elevator and got to the younger's apartment door.
"I had so much fun today. We should do this more often." the blond lightly laughs.
"I'm glad you're saying this. I thought that maybe we should hang out this Sunday? I heard there's going to be an outdoor concert near the mall. I'm not sure who's singing but I'm sure we'll have a lot of fun."
"Sure. See you there." Felix stops, embracing the older. "And thank you." the boy whispers, only the two being able to hear his words.
"No need to thank me." the other says as they break the hug. "See you this Sunday. And go to sleep tonight, alright? There's still plenty of time to do your work tomorrow and the days after. You shouldn't overwork yourself, buddy."
"I know. I will go to sleep. See you on Sunday." Felix says while he bids his goodbye to his friend, slowly closing the door afterwards.
The blond widely smiles to himself as he removes his shoes and puts his apartment door keys on the shelf before him. He enters his room and plops onto his bed, a sigh of relief leaving his lips. Felix closes his eyes, all of the memories of today's hangout running through his mind like a short film being played. The boy doesn't bother to change his clothes due to the comfortable position he is in. "So tired." he mumbles as he places his hands under his head, falling into a deep sleep not so long after. Even though it wasn't too late, the blond still fell asleep. It's been years since he last went to bed this early. Maybe him going out of his house helped him. Or maybe he was just tired from these sleepless nights where he couldn't get his eyes and thoughts off those pieces of paper. Either way, the boy was still exhausted from everything happening and just needed some rest. And he finally ended up getting it.
