Chapter six: Watched from afar

"Hey, Lix. You got here just on time. Let's go!" the older excitedly utters with a smile stuck on his bright face and turns around to leave the small coffee shop beside the two.

This was the time Felix was almost glad Yeonjun was too happy to realize what was really going on with the blond. His mind was all over the place and his body was telling him all these thoughts he had were right. Even starting from earlier this morning, the blond felt weird. He felt like someone was there to see every one of his actions and to hear every little thing he'd say. The comfort he would feel whenever he was by himself or with his best friend was long gone.

"Felix? You okay?" the brunet chuckles when his eyes catch the younger's blank expression and his standing upright posture. "Let's go." the smiley man grabs Felix by the hand and drags the blond after him towards the scene that was starting to get surrounded by numerous people. "Aren't you excited? I mean, I didn't even know The Neighbourhood would perform here! Isn't it crazy?"

"The Neighbourhood? No way!" the blonde is finally released from his thoughts after spacing out for about five minutes, his eyes widening the moment he heard the name of his favorite band.

The brunet chuckles before talking again. "Sorry, I had to get your attention. It's not The Neighbourhood, but it still isn't a bad band. I heard they just started their journey on making music and people already like their songs."

"Damn, why'd you lie to me like that? That's so disrespectful, Yeonjun. I should sue you for false information." the blond talks in a sarcastic tone before rolling his eyes at his own words and laughing the moment the older's face turned shocked with his eyes wide open and his lips slightly parted.

"Hey! It's not my fault you wouldn't pay attention to me!" the brunet pouts as he crosses his hands across the chest.

As soon as one of the band's members starts talking, the blond shushes the brunet and points at the stage with an amused expression on his face since he finds Yeonjun's pout kind of cute, yet funny at the same time.

"Hello, everyone! As you already know, we are Chase Atlantic. We're here to promote our latest album some of you might already know about. Since we are kind of new to this industry, we just wanted to thank you for all the love and support you guys gave us so early in our career." the man stops, a smile still visible on his face. The people who had their whole attention on the three men on stage started screaming when the song "Swim" started playing, impatiently waiting to sing the lyrics at the top of their lungs along with the three handsome boys that were currently looking at the crowd of people with their lips formed into grins.

"I already love them, their vibe is so good." Yeonjun screams into Felix's ear since it already was hard to talk through the shouts of the people surrounding them.

"I know, right?" the blond chuckles, his smile wider than ever. This was the moment he needed to finally feel better, to let it all go. Even if it was only for an hour or two, the feeling of being freed from all of his problems was a blessing.

After numerous performed songs, the three young men take a break and go backstage to drink some fresh water and take a big breath before going back on stage. While the band members were gone, some quiet instrumentals were playing in the background to still keep the fans entertained.

That's when the blond entered his panic mode. The loud music was still not loud enough to cover Felix's thoughts. Something was off even from the beginning, but he blindly erased the thought from his brain. It wasn't the right thing to do, yet he still somehow did it for the sake of not ruining Yeonjun's mood. The older looked happy, so happy. Felix didn't want the older's smile to leave his face, so he said nothing. And for a moment, he forgot about it. The music really did its job. It got him jumping up and down to songs he never listened to before, singing lyrics he never thought he knew. The blond was thankful to the blessing sounds that left the speakers, yet he hated them for getting his attention from the bad feeling he was having. Felix felt vulnerable, like someone was watching him all along. He felt like he was being stalked by someone, yet he just couldn't catch the person that was rudely watching him from afar.
