Chapter twenty-nine: Is this wrong?
A yawn leaves Felix's mouth the moment he stretches the sleepiness out of his body. He gets out the bed with a light smile on his lips and gets out of his room. Yet a frown appears on his face at the sound of his name being said along with a concerned tone of voice by no one other than Peter.
"He wouldn't understand." the leader mumbles and puts his face in his palms as a sigh leaves his ajar lips.
Felix raises a brow and gets behind the wall as to not be seen by the two, ending up eavesdropping though he never intended to do such thing in the first place. But when you hear someone talk about you, you get curious and listen, right?
"Yes, but we can't just continue to lie to him about why he's here." Peter frowns and looks at his lap with his bottom lip sticking out into a pout. "He's my best friend and I care about him. He should know that we're using him only to get away incase the cops find this place."
The blond's eyes widen in shock as the betrayal hits, colourles tears piling up on his freckled cheeks. "No.." the boy mutters to himself shakily before silently going to his room, the other two not aware of his presence. Loud sobs sound in his room as the blue eyed man lets it all out. His head feels too heavy with all types of thoughts and his body feels too fragile and weak to hold it. The man grunts the moment he lets himself fall to the ground, on his knees, with his palms on his face and his head held down.
Millions of questions flooded Felix's head. He was so stupid to trust them so easily just because they were being nice and friendly to him. He did it once again. He swore not to trust anyone ever again. Yet he ended up doing it. And for what? Just to end up alone and broken. Just to fall back into his old self.
A long sigh leaves the man's rosy lips as he looks at the ceiling. He's now lying on his back in bed, completely unaware of his surroundings: how the open window reflects the upcoming nighttime, how the cold starts to make itself known and felt by his warm body, how his phone keeps ringing by an unknown someone and how his face is still slightly wet with his own salty tears. The man closes his eyes and, eventually, gets up after wiping his almost dried up tears. A sigh leaves his parted lips before nodding to himself and making his way to his wardrobe.
As his clothes are now all in his luggage, he puts on a fake smile and starts dragging them after himself. Getting out of the room, he meets three of the group members. The blond smiles sadly and lets go of the trolley bags, the sight of the confused men before him getting him to make up a lie on the spot. "Hey, guys. I'm going to my aunt since she contacted me about coming back to Korea. I'll be back in a couple of days."
"Aww, man, really? But we had plans for tomorrow." Peter pouts and leans back in his chair.
"Well, I guess you'll have to go without me." the blond chuckles at the other's behavior and looks at the other two. "Just tell Chris I'll be back in a couple of days, we don't have any missions planned anyway."
"I'll tell him." the puppy looking man utters along with a nod.
"Alright. Thank you! See ya!" the blond utters on a happy tone while waving and leaves for the elevator.
"Hm, weird. He never left like this, out of nowhere." Lewis mutters and crosses his arms whilst looking between the two younger boys.
Peter shrugs. "It's probably a last minute thing. I'm glad he, at least, has a family to go to even though it's not his parents."
Back at his apartment, the young man goes to take a shower and, shortly after, finds himself back in bed, staring at the ceiling. Tears start welling up in his eyes once again and, without a second thought, he starts crying. "Stupid!" the man raises his voice and hits himself in the upper leg. "Stupid piece of shit..." Felix whispers through sobs as he closes his eyes and hugs his body, loud noises coming out his fragile body.
