Chapter sixteen: Alcohol and feelings
The two boys were in front of the club, the both of them hating the idea of being around each other. Already bickering, they enter the building. The sudden smell of alcohol combined with cigarette smoke hits their nostrils, scowls appearing on both of their faces.
"You chose such a good place." Felix says in a sarcastic tone, making the taller scoff.
"At least I found one, didn't I? It's not like you had any better ideas."
Later on, the two find themselves sitting down at the counter, looking around the bar in a bored manner while silently sipping on their drinks from time to time. As Felix takes a mouthful of the whiskey in his glass, a frown appears on his face but it's soon replaced with a smile. The alcohol's bittersweet taste flows down Felix's throat, leaving a somewhat delicious aftertaste. It's been a long time. Drinking a bit more wouldn't hurt anyone, right? The blond drinks the rest of the liquid in mere seconds, letting out a loud, powerful exhale that gets the taller's attention. The latter has only taken a few sips from his drink until now, so he was still quite sober. Can't say that about Felix who already started feeling himself, the alcohol sending him a boost of confidence he never knew he could feel. He was still very much conscious, the alcohol he just drank only helping the blond get a bit tipsy.
As Sam's gaze moves on Felix, the latter's eyes are on someone else. The blond gets up from the backless chair and starts walking towards a black haired guy who seems to be having fun on the dancing floor. Felix greets him and starts a conversation, a flirty smile plastered on his lips all along. Though the blond was having fun talking to the boy he didn't even know the name of yet, an arm appears almost out of nowhere, and the blond feels his own arm being grabbed by someone's hand. A pout appears on his face when he's faced with Sam and his frowning face.
"Yo, Wooyoung! Didn't expect to see you here. What's up?" Sam looks away from Felix, and in an instant, his facial expression softens and a beautiful, angelic smile takes over his lips.
"Sam!" the older smiles back, bringing the red haired boy into a hug. "It's been a while. How have you been?"
The taller smiles as he wraps his arms around Wooyoung's body, too, tightening the hug almost immediately. "I've been doing well. How have you been?" the boy says after breaking the hug.
Wooyoung nods as he looks at Felix and then at Sam. "Looks like you've been doing better than me. Found yourself a little boyfriend, huh?" the man lets out as a chuckle leaves his ajar lips.
"What? No, no, he's not my boyfriend!" Felix intervenes in the conversation, his eyes wide open as he moves his hands clumsily in front of his body.
"Baby? How could you say that?" Sam says as he eyes the blond boy beside him. He puts his hand over the other's shoulder, bringing him closer. "Don't listen to him, he's so drunk he can't even remember his own boyfriend." the man chuckles awkwardly whilst making eye contact with the one before him who seemed to enjoy the whole scene. The blond looks at Sam with a questioning look on his face, yet the taller doesn't acknowledge it.
Wooyoung chuckles, too, and pats Sam's shoulder repetitively. "You two make a hot couple. Try reminding him he has a boyfriend before flirting with everything that moves, though." the brunet utters quietly the last sentence so only Sam can hear it, later on waving at the two while walking towards a group of people he came to the club with.
After getting back to the counter, Felix finds himself asking for another glass of whiskey. "Why'd you have to do that?" he mutters while looking down, at his newly filled glass.
