Chapter four: The end?

With his hands inside the pockets of his black suit pants, he waits for the bus to arrive. His mind wanders around, the fear of what he could find there, in the place he feels most curious about, and what could happen, growing bigger.

Felix looks around in a bored manner, his sight stopping to a bus stop sign beside him. He widens his eyes a little when he faces the three little posters that were attached to it. Yang Jeongin, Han Jisung and Lee Minho, three high school students, have been missing without a trace for over five years now. No one has ever seen them again after that party. People said they looked scared and were acting weird, yet no one did anything about it. The three boys have been friends since they were kids. All of them going missing together could sound tricky, the detective that had to solve their case saying they most likely left the country by themselves and never came back, yet their other friends and family said there was not a single reason why they would do such thing.

Felix shakes his head at the thought of what the three boys are probably still going through, and smiles when he gazes upon the bus slowly making its way to the bus stop.

The blond gets on the bus and immediately sits down by the window. The boy takes out the padlock that used to be his mother's and anxiously plays with it, his eyes fixed on the small object. His smile reappears at the thought of the use of it. His mother used to tell him it was a souvenir she got from Korea when she went there in her college years. Since the lock was the main reason she met Felix's father, it was very dear to her. The two wanted to safely lock the padlock onto the railing of Namsan Seoul Tower, but never got the chance to. So they ended up keeping it as a memory. After his parents' death, a detective found the lock in his mother's pocket and gave it to Felix. Since then, he held onto it tightly, never letting it go. After all, it was the only thing that was left after his own parents.

After a boring ride with the bus, Felix finally arrives at the final destination. The confusion made its way to Felix when he noticed there was no one inside the bus anymore. "Does no one live in this side of the city?" After all, it is late, but the blond thought at least one person would come here, in this neighborhood, since the bus was fully loaded with people riding it when he first entered it.

The latter shakes his thoughts away and gets out of the bus, opening his phone afterwards. He sends a message to Mr. Hwang, telling him he was on his way to the address on the papers. After he typed it in, he looked for the hotel. With the help of his phone, he finally finds the building and smiles sadly at the sight of it. This building used to be a beautiful, well known hotel back in the day. Now, it's just an empty, emotionless building where no one usually comes. His eyes shift to the name of the hotel, a scowl shadowing over his face. "Oddinary? I don't remember it being called that, though?" the blond says quietly to himself, his intuition making him think twice about entering the place.

Felix opens the door, the sound of the bell giving him the feeling of déjà vu. He remembers again why he's here. The boy takes a deep breath in and walks inside.

With shy, tiny steps, Felix walks towards the counter. His eyes catch the silhouette of a mysterious person just standing behind the counter. He looked...dead, but alive at the same time. He seemed lifeless, yet full of life. With his hair of a darker blue, which seems to look green in this light, and his gloved hands on the counter, what seemed like a pair of glasses and a suit on, he looked out of this world. Unreal, I guess you can call him. The guy raises his head immediately the moment he hears Felix's footsteps. Christopher looks at him with a confused, yet joyful expression on his face. It seemed like he was waiting for the blond to make his appearance. His face seemed to catch Felix's attention. He looked familiar to the boy, yet he didn't know where he knew him from.
