Chapter ten: Vulnerability

A few days have passed, a bit over two weeks, and the blond finally made the decision of moving out. He said he didn't want to at first, but after talking to Christopher, he agreed on it since the older convinced him to do it. And since Felix started spending almost all of his time at his new friends' hideout, it just felt right.

"I still can't believe we'll live together, Felix!" Peter squeals while jumping up and down with his hands on Felix's shoulders, a smile stuck to his lips. The blond before him was even happier, but he didn't know how to truly show it. So he just let the others know by showing his wide, angelic smile everyone loved oh-so much.

"Yeah, so fun." Sam walks past the two, a sarcastic tone added to his voice. Even though the two started getting closer these days, they still didn't really enjoy each other's presence the way they were supposed to. It was all about the one who'd make the first move and let their guard down. Sadly, both boys were extremely stubborn and didn't intend on being friends with one another just yet.

"Don't mind him." the youngest says while watching the older guys carry some of Felix's belongings inside.

"Why do I have to carry your shit? Can't you just carry it yourself?" the tallest says while gripping onto a painting that looked heavier than half the things Felix owned.

"Sam, shut up and do what you're supposed to!" the leader yells from outside as he gets out of the van while carrying Felix's big TV. The blue haired man was happier than ever even though he didn't really show it. The small grin he had on his face was almost unnoticeable, but most of the boys have already acknowledged it, and responded to it by teasing him.

The red haired male scoffs and rolls his eyes before placing the painting on the ground and waiting for the elevator's doors to open. He could use his powers and make it easier, but he felt exhausted after not sleeping one single bit last night after finding out about the blond moving in. The boy definitely needed a little bit of rest now to make himself usable again.

"You can take a break, Sammy, I'll help you with this one." Lewis winks at the younger before taking the heavy object in his arms and teleporting to Felix's new bedroom.

"At least there's someone who truly cares about me in this damn house!" the boy says loudly before propping on the wall behind him.

"So dramatic, aren't you?" Rhino enters the hall with a smirk on his face while carrying a leather office chair.

"Of course! I was born to be dramatic. It's basically one of my powers at this point."

The blond chuckles, sitting down on the couch, beside Peter, by now. At the sound of Felix's annoyingly beautiful and deep laughter, the red haired male rolls his eyes and leaves the two grinning boys to get some fresh air from outside. He didn't even know why, but he felt angered. Even from the start, he felt betrayed by his own friends since the men started spending most of their time with the blond, making Sam feel left out. He would feel lonely even though he'd be in a room full of people he truly cares about. And maybe it wasn't about Felix taking his spot, but what was it truly about, then? He didn't even know why he didn't like Felix.

The man sighs and takes a lighter out of his pocket followed by a cigarette, lighting it up immediately after placing the small object between his plump lips. Suddenly, he feels a presence behind him and turns around only to be faced with the one he tried to avoid the whole day. Sam rolls his eyes as he releases the smoke he held in for maybe too long.

"Can I have one, too, please?" the shorter utters while holding out his hand.

"You smoke?" the boy gives Felix a cigarette and the lighter, a scowl showing on his face.
