Chapter twenty-eight: Tortured

Getting back to the second universe, Felix finds himself angered with the new information he gets to know from his beloved friend. Though he's angrier with himself for not being there to help in the moment.

The blond stands up from the younger's bed and grabs his own hair whilst letting out deep breaths out of anger. "Where's Minho?" he lets out almost as a whisper, his voice trembling with a slight rasp to it. Getting no response from Jeongin, Felix grits his teeth and rushes out of the room, storming towards what he thinks Minho's room could be.

Entering the room before him, Felix's lips form a small smirk. At the sight of the blond, Minho raises a brow and puts down the book he's been reading. "What are you doing in my room?"

Felix chuckles shortly and shakes his head lightly before walking towards the other's bed with his hands turned into fists. "May you tell me what's your problem with Jeongin?"

"With that slut? What problem would I have with him?" the older utters with a smirk shadowing his lips.

"Slut?" the blond knits his dark brows together and grabs the man by the hair, gripping onto it whilst moving his hand upwards. "Aren't you the slut in this situation?"

"Let go, fucking idiot!" the man utters with gritted teeth whilst looking up at the one standing beside his bed, putting both his hands on the other's.

Getting ready to punch the older, Felix clenches his hand into a fist. But before he could do any of the things he had planned, Hyunjin enters the room and stops anything from happening. Though he was mad himself at Minho for what he had done, another beating wouldn't do much damage to the older. In fact, it'd make him go crazier and do more than just what he's done until now.

As Felix and Hyunjin leave the older man's bedroom, Hyunjin starts a conversation with the younger. Having a reason behind it all, the older makes sure not to trigger anything in Felix that'd possibly make him go in his flight or fight mode.

The brunet leads Felix in a room he's never been in before, letting him walk in first. The room is as dark as it could get before Hyunjin closes and locks the door, in the end turning the lights on, too.

Felix's eyes widen as they sight upon the red painted room and the contents inside it. Before he could escape, Hyunjin attaches himself to the blond by grabbing his arm, and injects a serum into his neck. The younger falls to Hyunjin's feet after a few seconds, his wet eyes closing whilst his mouth remains open.

A few hours later, the blond coughs multiple times as he wakes up. Felix opens his eyes whilst groaning, a stinging pain felt in his neck and head.

"You're awake!" Hyunjin utters excitedly whilst rushing over to the tied up man.

"No, shit!" the blond coughs again and looks around with a frown on his face. "Why am I here, Hyunjin? And why am I tied up? You know I can just leave whenever I want, right?"

"Wrong!" the taller smiles and crouches before the blond. "You see the walls? I know it might sound like bullshit, but they're made of a material that stops you or anyone from traveling universes. Cool, isn't it?" Hyunjin tilts his head and looks Felix up and down before touching his thigh. "This is where Taehyung was kept before he escaped, you know? I'd rather you not try to escape like he did. It'd be a waste of time anyway."

As Hyunjin stands up and turns his back to Felix to get something from the table before him, the blond looks around him and grits his teeth before closing his eyes and trying to travel back to his original world. But just a second later, a grunt escapes his lips as his head starts hurting more and more. He suddenly feels fatigue running throughout his whole body. Every muscle in him starts hurting, though he didn't even move one bit.

A chuckle leaves Hyunjin's lips as he turns around. "Why are you so stubborn? I told you dimensional travel is not possible here. Yet you still tried it." a smirk appears on his lips as he walks in front of Felix with a knife in his right hand and laboratory glasses on his nose. "You just made it all worse for you, Lixie."

"Don't fucking call me that!" Felix yells at the one before him with an angry frown on his face.

The taller's face scrunches up into a frown, too, as he grits his teeth. "I'll call you whatever I want, cunt!" the man yells whilst his right hand moves with power towards the blond. A screeching sound comes out the younger when the massive knife pierces through his leg and comes out on the other side, blood already starting to flow down his weakened body. Tears fill Felix's eyes. Because of both the pain felt in his body and the anger felt in his head. A smirk appears on Hyunjin's soft lips as he bends to look at the other's face and leg. "Oops. Got a bit carried away there. My bad!" he chuckles in an annoying tone before harshly taking out the knife from the poor man's leg.

Hyunjin walks to the table, and, as he grabs another threatening object, the blond clenches his hands into fists, trying so hard to fight the pain. "Why are you doing this to me?" the man manages to let out through gritted teeth.

A manic chuckle leaves the brunet's lips as he turns around with a whip in his right hand and rubbing alcohol in the other. "Look, Felix. It's nothing personal." the man kneels in front of the younger and places the objects beside him, on the ground. "I just need information. Information only you can tell me."

"Why not just ask for it, stupid!? I didn't say I wouldn't tell you what you want to hear." the man yells with a hint of anger in his voice, yet the pain is still felt in his sobs and trembling voice.

A sinister smile creeps out on the taller's face right before grabbing the poor man's leg and forcing his middle finger into the fresh hole that's still bleeding uncontrollably. Whilst looking at Felix bite his lower lip in an attempt to not let the other hear how the pain inflicted actually fazes him, Hyunjin tilts his head and starts speaking in a calm voice. "A part of me knew you'd tell me everything the second I'd ask you. You seem way too weak not to. But where would be the fun in that, right?" the man takes his finger out of Felix's leg and sighs before grinning again, this time a comforting smile. Which, surprisingly, scared Felix even more. Hyunjin puts his bloody hand on Felix's cheek, caressing it. "Just like I said, it's nothing personal. I just missed the feeling of inflicting pain into someone. It's been a while. And you were the perfect victim." yet another sigh leaves his mouth before muttering something. "I'm sorry, sweetheart! I promise this will end sooner than you think. I get my answers and you get your escape. Deal?"

The blond frowns and, confused, he leans into his touch. Why was he giving in? Ahh, yes. After all, this was Hyunjin, another version of Sam, the one he truly fell in love with. A tear slips from Felix's eye before nodding.

Hyunjin smiles and stands up, now looking down at Felix. "Good boy. Now, tell me. Do you know who Kim Taehyung is?" seeing the blond nod, the brunet hums. "So you did know he can travel dimensions just like you, right?"

After a series of questions, the big one comes. With a sigh, the brunet starts speaking yet again. "Is he still alive?"

Felix's eyes widen as colourles tears fill them. "N...no. I...I killed him."

Hearing the man before him, Hyunjin takes a step back and widens his eyes. "You?" he raises a brow and starts laughing hysterically. "You wouldn't even hurt a damn fly. What makes you think I'll believe you?"

"There was no other choice. My leader was in danger. I had to do it. I'm so, so, so sorry." the tears start flowing on his beautifully freckled cheeks as sobs make their way out of his, now, trembling body.

Hyunjin sighs and shakes his head before kneeling and starting to untie the rope. "I can see it upset you. Killing is not really your strong point, is it?"

After freeing Felix, the latter left the room with Hyunjin's help and, later on, disappeared into thin air. Getting back to his original universe, the boy got healed by Rhino and remained in his room for the rest of the day, thinking about the one thing he hated the most: the memory of killing Taehyung.
