Chapter fourteen: "You're the one saving me"

It was the day they've been talking about for a while now. This was one of the hardest missions they've had until now, hence the anxiety that took over everyone. Felix was the most nervous out of all of them, of course. The blond has discovered the power of protecting himself and others, yet he still felt unprepared. He still couldn't attack back, so going on a mission that was harder than any of the other ones, made him insecure. He felt like he could still help the members. At least he discovered one of his powers. Even though he was still not good at using it.

"Is everyone ready?" the oldest's voice sounds from the device every one of them has on.

Every member's light turns green from red on Christopher's watch, the latter nodding to himself before getting up and revealing himself to the people surrounding him. Not so long after, the other members got out of their hidden spots, doing their part of the plan at the same time.

The leader's body can be seen for a moment in the air, the man levitating towards the top of the well done building. The color of it was a yellowish grey. It had multiple small windows and a big wooden door as intrance. Such a beautiful building. The people inside it were going to be destroyed in just a couple of minutes and the thought of it brought satisfaction to all of the eight boys. After successfully landing without anyone noticing him, the man takes his time to look at this part of the city. His main mission was to make sure everyone was getting out alive. As he was patiently waiting for the others to do their part, the anxious blue haired boy brings his focus to the entrance of the city hall now.

"Excuse me! We're both new here. Anything we can do to help?" Lewis asks a random employee as he points at himself and Sam who's currently standing beside him with a bored look on his face.

"Ah! You must be Choi Soobin and Kang Taehyun. I was actually the one chosen to show you around today and give you your work. I completely forgot." the girl says with an apologetic expression on her face. "I'm Shin Ryujin, by the way. Nice to meet you!" the brunette says with a pretty grin shadowing her lips, bowing seconds after.

The two men weirdly bow back, an unsure smile displayed on their faces. "Nice to meet you, too!" the older says before looking at the taller beside him. He sends him a glare, Sam being too busy looking around to pay attention to the woman before him.

"Nice to meet you, too." the red haired male says in a bored manner, disinterest clearly showing on his expression and tone. "Where are our seats anyway? We'll just do our work. No need to show us around." he shrugs. A quiet gasp leaves Sam's ajar lips after the muscular man beside him hits his shoulder a little too hard for his liking.

"Don't mind him. He's just really excited about starting to work here that he doesn't know how to behave. Right, Sa...I mean, Taehyun?" Lewis sends the taller a sweet, yet fake smile and hits him again, this time softer. A real grin approaches his lips after seeing Sam nod with his eyes wide open.

A deep breath leaves Peter's lips, his sad eyes being on display. "Why do we get to just sit here and do nothing while the others actually participate in something? I should've just stayed at home." he mutters with a pout while resting his body onto the wall behind him, slowly sliding down on it.

A chuckle leaves Felix's lips after hearing Peter whine, crouching beside the latter. "Isn't it better to wait and not be put in danger? For me, this is the best thing ever." the man shrugs and looks at his friend with a playful smirk on his face. "Or maybe you don't like being around me? Is that it, Peter?" he asks jokingly and winks after seeing Peter's confused face.

"Shut your mouth. I'm just bored." the boy groans and places his face on his palms, letting out a long sigh. "You're still my best friend, I can't just stop liking you." Peter mumbles and closes his eyes. A short chuckle leaves Felix's lips as he closes his eyes, too.
