Chapter 30: I'll Always Be With You

Hunhow makes it home. He opens the front door and sees his parents. His father Joseph sits down and talks with him about Crystal. He says her father called to say they will be leaving in the morning. He also explains that they were transferring her out of school which is why she hadn't talked to him in a while. Hunhow thanks his father for the update and then goes to sleep on the couch.

~ Time Skip ~ Few Hours Later ~

Hunhow is sleeping but then all of a sudden he begins to have the same bad dream he first had while in Afghanistan. He was driving in his truck with Crystal when all of a sudden a car attempting to pass a semi truck crosses into their lane and he ends up crashing. He wakes up and gets out and goes to check on Crystal. She is motionless and he quickly rips off the emergency hatch to open his truck door. He pulls her out and quickly calls 911. Around 15 minutes later, an ambulance and firetruck arrive and take them to the hospital. Unfortunately, she died after surgery and Hunhow fell to his knees. He then wakes up from the dream and pants while looking all over the place. He knows he has to be with Crystal. He cannot let anything bad happen to her. He loves her. He must protect her.

~ Time Skip ~ Morning ~

Hunhow wakes up the next day a few hours early. He knows Crystal is going to the airport to head to Egypt so he quickly gets in the shower. He then goes to put fresh clothes on and then leaves the house in a hurry. He drives to Crystal's house. He knocks on the door and surprisingly her mother lets him in. She lets him sleep on the couch until it is time for the family to wake up and get ready.

~ Time Skip ~ Hour Later ~

Hunhow is woken up by Crystal and she is happy he came to see her one final time. They kiss and he then helps her family pack up. They talk and explain how they are getting to the airport. They all then got into Hunhow's truck because he didn't want them to take a taxi or ride share. He drives while he is constantly looking over his shoulders and twitches nonstop. Crystal as well as her mom take note of this and ask if he is alright. He says he's fine despite their concerns.

~ Time Skip ~ Hour and Half Later ~

Hunhow makes it to the airport without incident and he is relieved. He helps Crystal and her family unload and get to the terminal. The plane doesn't come for another hour so they sit in a huge lobby until it is time to board. When the time comes to board, Crystal gets a little emotional. She loves Hunhow and doesn't want to leave him. But he reassures her he loves her and that he will always be with her. "I'll always be with you". "I love you". "Please just be safe and keep in touch when you can" he says. "I will". "I will" she says. They passionately kiss for a minute before letting go of each other's hands. He waved goodbye as she went to board and felt his heart drop. But he knew this was for the best. "I love you" he whispers. He watches as she enters the plane and looks back to wave at him. He waved back and sat down by the window.

~ Time Skip ~ 30 Minutes Later ~

Hunhow watches as her plane pulls out the runway and then takes off into the sky. He tears up before knowing he has to leave. He then calmly walks away and then to the front entrance to the airport. He gets in his truck, takes a deep breath and then goes to drive home...
