Chapter 44: Fuck Around And Find Out

The next day Hunhow wakes up to Holly still wrapping her body around him. He needs to get up and go downstairs. But he is worried he'll get carved up by her claws again. So he slowly and calmly wiggles his way out of her grasp. He quickly checks to see if he had gotten clawed up but he sees no blood or cuts. He walks out the room and goes downstairs to watch TV. When he turns on the TV, he sees a massive news story. The notorious mafia boss and his men he killed are shown all over the news. The media is reporting that he was found killed along with all his men in the restaurant. Surveillance footage shows Hunhow with his punisher vest, trench coat and heavily armed entering. From inside he is engaged in the shootout with the men. He then enters the bathroom areas and walks out minutes later zipping up his coat. The media and police announce that this was the work of the vigilante. Anthros and Humans alike rally in support of Hunhow. He has taken a notorious mafia boss off the streets with vigilante justice. But what surprised the media even more was the message left inside the stall where the boss was found dead.

It read: "I'm not the hero you wanted". "I'm the monster you needed". The public begins to rally in support of the punisher and demand that more violent criminals human and Anthro alike are put in the morgues where they belong. While the media updates and continues, Hunhow watches in surprise. He sits there thinking about what to do when Holly shows up behind him. She softly lays her snout on his shoulder causing him to jump a little. "I'm guessing you were up to no good the previous day" she said. "Somewhat" he replies. They turn off the TV and go to make breakfast. They sit and eat happily and talk about future plans for their lives. While he is busy eating he gets a knock on the door. He gets up to check the door with his Glock 30 which has become normal for him everytime someone knocks. He goes to check and it is Amber. He cautiously opens the door and lets her in. She sits down on the couch. Holly walks in and she introduces herself to Amber. Holly goes to take a shower while Hunhow and Amber talk. She seems concerned about something. "What's going on"? he asked. "It's Looma". "She needs your help". "It's urgent". Hunhow begins to worry about Looma. Amber says they should go to the mayor's office now. He quickly goes upstairs to inform Holly. Holly tells him to be safe and go get the job done. Hunhow and Amber than leave to visit mayor Looma.

~ Time Skip ~ Hour Later ~

Amber and Hunhow make it to city hall and then towards the mayor's office. They meet up with Cassidy and Tenet before entering the room. Mayor Looma is there and she is concerned about Hunhow. "What's the problem"? he asked. She shares with him a threatening voice mail and video. It is the son of the Mafia boss and he is demanding that the mayor puts out a press conference stating who the punisher is. If she doesn't comply, he will release the photos and evidence about Hunhow, his friends, family and everyone he has worked with. And when he is done, he'll come after her. Hunhow is then struck with a realization. The Mafia boss said in the toilet stall that he had been watching him all this time. And now it has finally caught up with him. Hunhow quickly sends the video and audio recordings to himself for him to save on a hard drive. He then decides to bring the fight to the Mafia boss's son and put an end to him once and for all. "I will make sure to bury his ass within the next week" he says. As he goes to leave Cassidy grabs his arm. "You're NOT going alone". "We're coming with you" she said. He didn't even try to stop them. "Alright, let's get to work" he says.
