Chapter 23: I Have A Job For You

Hunhow was woken up 2 hours earlier by the sound of his phone buzzing. He looked at the number and he couldn't believe who it was. It was the mayor. And she was calling him this early. He doesn't answer at first. But she calls again and he realizes that this just might be important so he decides to pick up the phone and answer her call. "Hello"? "Mr Riley, do you have a moment to talk"? she asked. "Why of course and what is it I can do for you Mrs. Looma"? "I have a situation regarding an arms deal"? "I believe this could be connected to a case that the NYPD SVU is investigating". "How does that concern me"? he asked a little dumbstruck. "I have a job for you and one I know you care get done because when it comes to this stuff, you are the best" she says. Hunhow hesitates to respond for a moment but he realizes that the mayor never would've called him had it not been serious. And second she clearly would've already turned him over to the authorities by now since she knows who he is. "Alright, what time do you need me to come in"? "Come to my office at 9:00-9:30 AM". "Alrighty I'll be there soon". He hangs up and goes back to sleep.

~ Time Skip ~

Hunhow wakes up at 7 AM and gets ready. He tells his parents he promised to help a friend out today and they both look at him a little off. But after some small talks they assume he just wants to go see Crystal so they let him off the hook. Hunhow drives to the city and stops for gas. He then drives to the mayor's office and enters. He dresses in normal clothes to avoid detection while at the metal detector and security. He then goes to the office receptionist he met last time and she shows him the way to the mayor's office. He waits outside patiently until the mayor finally emerges and brings him inside. He goes to sit down while she closes the door and pulls the blinds so nobody can see them. "So what is it about this arms deal"? he asked her. "We have reason to believe this arms deal is connected in a plot to smuggle weapons into the the city". "These weapons would then be sold illegally on the streets and would be used to commit crimes". "I need you to investigate for me and the NYPD and collect any information you can" mayor Looma says. Hunhow doesn't know what to do. He is known for killing criminals, not working to have them put away. He is hesitant and the mayor can see it on his face. "Fine, I'll do it". "But all I do know is that I'm not doing this for free". "And most Importantly, you know I don't like to leave criminals unpunished". "If you get the job done, I'll pay you well and keep this operation out of the public eye". "And please don't shit the bed, and there will be a nice bonus for your efforts waiting as well" she explains. "I didn't hear you say yes to my other request" he tells her. "Yes, of course you do what you do best". With that Hunhow accepts the offer and goes to get the job done.

~ Sometime Later ~

Hunhow scouts an abandoned building complex with his sniper until he discovers the smuggling operation. Armed with both his sniper and compound bow, he cautiously enters the building and sets up a position on the 7th floor balcony. He watches the smugglers with his binoculars. He sees what appears to be a arms deal and possible drug trade. Hunhow decides to take out some of the men with his compound bow along the lower balcony silently and quickly. He then uses his SVD sniper enhanced with a suppressor to eliminate a group of 3 men stationed on a small catwalk near a large small portion of shipping containers. "The guards have been eliminated, ma'am" he radios on a small walkie talkie. "Good, punisher". "Do you see the man in the red coat"? she asked. "Yes, what about him". "I want you to kill him" Hunhow is taken aback. "Why"? he asked. "It isn't your concern". "Now finish the job I gave you" she says. Hunhow takes aims and waiting for a moment before taking a shot at the man's head. He goes down after the shit strikes his face and appears to enter the navel cavity. Hunhow leaves the balcony and goes to grapple down the building with a rope he set up. He slides down the rope and touches the ground on the street. He quickly goes to his truck and drives away while checking to make sure he is not being followed.

~ Time Skip ~ Few Hours Later ~

Hunhow goes to the mayor's home and she invites him in. She tells him to sit down which he doesn't at first. "That was not a request, NOW SIT DOWN" she says angrily while growling and bearing her teeth at him. He complies and sits. She calms down and apologizes for the sudden burst of anger. "It's alright ma'am". "Why does this seem so personal for you". The mayor stays quiet nervous almost but Hunhow tells her that it is okay and that she can tell him. She almost begins to tear up and explain. "My father was a business man and did dealings with a group of investors". "The company was an organization that worked for a government firm and agency". "They were called the Ministry". "My father did dealings which carried a major contract for this government agency". "But eventually he pulled away and backed out the contract 2 years before it was ment to expire". "This angered them and they began to come after my family and father". "My father left me and my mom to avoid putting us in harms way". "Then a week later we got a call that he had been in a accident". "Someone was chasing him and shooting at his car". "He was shot and died". Hunhow listens understanding the whole situation as his begins to clinch his fist. "Then at his funeral, my mother was approached by the agency and they told her if she didn't report his dealings they wouldn't come after us". "They paid us much money over the years and my family used it to buy me a better education and move me to a better city". She was almost crying at this point and Hunhow began to feel a since of rage. "That man you killed, was the same man who was involved in his murder". "When I learned he left the organization and went into the business of organized crime, I couldn't pass this offer". Hunhow stays silent while she begins to sob. He gives her tissues and comforts her as she hugs him. "He's dead now". "But there is more to be done" he says while clinching his fist. "I put you through this". "You don't have to go through with this" Looma says while looking at him. "You were robbed of your childhood and they were wrong to take that from you". "I won't let them go unpunished" Hunhow says while get grabs his gun and goes to leave. "Wait, where are you going"? she asked. "To finish the job you hired me to do". "I'll be back". "Please you don't need to do this" she says. "I know, but I want to". "That's just who I am". Hunhow leaves the house and goes to his truck. He prepares his Glock 30 and equips his suppressor to it. He then grabs the SMGs he found in the crate and loads them for the first time. He loads his KRISS Vectors

He signs before getting into the truck. And he drives to the location of the former head of the Ministry...
