Chapter 37: Two Batch

Hunhow wakes up with Holly still cuddling him. Despite trying and failing last time, he slowly moves to get out of her grip and goes downstairs. He starts to make breakfast for her. Pancakes, bacon, eggs, toast, waffles and home fries. He hears her wake up just as he is finished and sets the table as she comes downstairs. "Morning, sweetheart" she says. "Oh, morning". "Hope you're hungry" he told her. "I actually am". The both blush and eat the food he made. He is a little sore from last night and still little out of it. "Are you okay" she asked a bit concerned. "I'm alright". "Just tired as all". He limps and struggles to walk so she quickly goes to grab him and help him to the couch. She turns on the TV and a headline pops up on screen. The police are investigating a fight between a human and Anthro. The media then interviews a police sergeant and tells them they are going over security camera footage and interviewing the flower store owner. The media then cuts to the female Anthro. They are interviewing her and she tells them that a human male saved her from her ex-boyfriend who was the victim. The media asked her to describe the human she saw. "He was tall, probably six feet or shorter but tall". "He had a small thin jacket". "He was black with a skinny but muscular build". "He appeared to have a skull t shirt concealed in his jacket". "He told me to run". The news reporter seems quite shocked by this description. "Did you see his face"? she asked. The female Anthro takes a moment and describes Hunhow's face. "H-he had a scar on his face". "And his eyes appeared to be brown". "He stared at me with those cold eyes before telling me to leave". "I knew what was going to happen next so I just ran away afraid". "And that's when I ran into a nearby store where they called the police". The reporter is stunned into silence by her description. "Well, umm..." "Maybe we should take a break from broadcast" she says. They radio back into the news studio and they then break for commercials. Hunhow sees the broadcast and knows the woman describes him almost perfectly. His body structure, his facial features, his clothing, his skin color, everything. This makes him worried. Holly is more worried than he is. "What are you gonna do"? she asked. "Nothing, but what I do best". Just then he gets a text from Mayor Looma. She texts him and says she wants to meet with him. He kisses Holly and he goes to meet the mayor. He showers, gets dressed and grabs his car keys. He gets his truck and drives to the city.

~ Time Skip ~ One Hour Later ~

Hunhow arrives at a small parking lot. He waits in his truck and eventually a car pulls up. It is the mayor and a few of her associates. Hunhow gets out with his hand on his side holstering his Glock. "It's alright, they are here to help" she says reassuring him. He calms down and slowly walks towards the mayor. She puts her hand on his right shoulder. She motions him to step inside the car and he does. She sits down next to him and informs him about the news report. She tells him not to worry and that she and her office are handling the situation. She also explains that the police chief and her department are being dealt with so he doesn't need to worry. He signs in relief and asked her if she needed anything. "Not at the moment". "Just be careful and do what you do best" she said. He nods his head and gets out the car. He goes back to his truck and goes back to Holly's house. He then grabs his Furry National Guard uniform and goes to report for duty.

~ Time Skip ~ Sometime Later ~

Hunhow makes it to the guard compound. He checks in and reports to his commanding officer. He enters the Guard Outpost and notices some humans and Anthros staring at him weirdly. He doesn't pay much attention and reports to his squad. Kane, Teresa, Fredrick and Rivers are all there. They greet him and he greets them back. They all sit and clean their gear and weapons before reporting for duty. While they are busy, Hunhow's commanding officer speaks over the loud speaker. "Shadow Squad, we have 3 new recruits reporting for duty in your platoon". "Report to the training court in 1400 hours". Hunhow and his squad are a bit surprised. They never expected to get new members added to their team. Hunhow and the group finish cleaning and prepping their gear. Then then report to the field and the new recruits are introduced. Hunhow's eyes lite up seeing who it was. It was Fritz, Hugo and Edmund. After the commanding officer introduced them to the team, Hunhow fist bumps and introduces Fritz and his guys to the squad. They explain that they wanted to join the Furry National Guard because they wanted to pursue a career in the military and that they were motivated by Hunhow himself. Hunhow is overjoyed and hangs out with them as he helps them settle into the group.

~ Time Skip ~ Few Hours Later ~

Hunhow because he is the commander of his squad is assigned to help and teach Fritz and his friends basics of training. Firearms training, cleaning weapons, tactical gear, comms check, artillery, vehicle operation and sas clean house and infiltration drills. After they finish training they decide to practice sniper training. Fritz and his friends shoot while Hunhow monitor them. "You know if you can't shoot, we can always save those snipers for those who can". "If you shoot to low you could miss by 20 feet. "If you aim for a limb you could miss by 9 inches". "If you aim for a for the torso, you could miss by 2 feet" Hunhow's words are what motivates Fritz and his friends to shoot and do better. Eventually they get the hang of it. Afterwards they all celebrate their first day of basic training and happily hang out with Hunhow's squad.

~ Time Skip ~ Few Hours Later ~

Training is complete and Hunhow quickly showers and goes to pack up. Fritz's parents come to pick him, Hugo and Edmund up. They part ways and fist bump before Hunhow goes to his truck and drive home. He pulls out the base.

~ Time Skip ~ Midnight ~

Hunhow doesn't go home as he intended. He keeps thinking about the Anthro woman he saved. He falls asleep in his truck and wakes up a few hours later. He takes some insulin to lower his blood sugar and then gets out to find a small store that is still open. He finds a corner store that is about to close and quickly rushes inside to buy a few beer cans and energy drinks. He pays in cash. Luckily the store owner doesn't need his ID. He goes to leave the store with the energy and beer cans. He walks to his truck and gets in. He pulls out from the sidewalk and goes to drive away. But he catches a suspicious man standing and leaning up against the wall near the store. A young woman passed by and he quickly begins to follow her. Hunhow sets the drinks down in the passenger seat and stops his truck. He pulls over and gets out. He grabs his brass knuckles and Punisher vest. He follows the man as the man is busy following the woman. He then rushes her into an ally. He demands she give him her purse. The woman punches him and he goes to physical strike her. "You bastard"! "Get away from me". "Let go"! she yelled. "Give me the Damm purse girl" he yells. But before she is able to respond, the man is then grabbed from behind and slammed into the wall. He is punched twice in the face and is then kicked to the ground with such force, he falls and hits the back of his head on the concrete floor. The woman looks to see Hunhow standing by her side. His height and appearance causes her to shutter. The woman wants to run. But she can't move. He walks past her and grabs the man who is laying on the ground. He grabs him by the collar of his jacket and repeatedly punches the man in the face with his brass knuckles. He punches and punches and punches. He doesn't stop. The man is barely moving. His face is left completely bloodyed, bruised, and almost disfigured. Hunhow grabs the man and slams his head into a glass window and finally into the wall. Blood splatters on him as well as the wall. He turns to look at the woman who is horrified by what she just saw. "Go home ma'am". "You won't want to see what happens next" he says. "She stares completely terrified but in the end nods her head and calmly but quickly walks away. Hunhow takes the blood of the man and writes his calling card on the brick wall. "One Batch". "Two Batch". "Penny and Dime". He grins almost smiling the same smile he made when he killed those gang members. He then goes to leave the Ally. He gets to his truck. He stares intense around to see if anyone is around. He signs in relief seeing nobody is there. He gets in and takes a quick sip of beer before driving home.

~ Time Skip ~ Hunhow Arrives Home ~

Hunhow gets to his house and slams the door behind him. He is covered in blood and goes to wash it off his face, vest and clothes. He sees a message from his parents but he doesn't care. He just drops his phone on the floor and sits down on the couch. He stares off into space and doesn't do or say anything. He sits there and watches one little area of the room before finally sleep takes over and he passes out on his couch.....
