"Soldat...?" She questioned, as she came to, her eyes shut against the pounding in her skull.

"Carter?"

"Lider?" She asked the unfamiliar voice, attempting to gain enough strength to stand before she was reprimanded.

"No, Carter, snap out of it it's me, it's St- it's dad,"

Carter?

Who's...

The girl finally opened her eyes, spotting him kneeling beside her. She was on the cement ground, in some abandoned building.

She recognized him, she knew she did...

Carter? She thought again, the familiarity of the name evading her.

"Hey, you with me?" He spoke again, resting a gentle hand on her forehead.

She flinched away, "Kto takoy Karter?" She asked, confused by this man's touch, but not tempted to see what he would do if she tried to fight back.

("Who is Carter?")

His eyes widened, and he glanced over to two other men in the room.

She started at the sight of the soldier with his arm in a metal clamp.

"Soldat?" She called, and she watched his eyes grow regretful and sad. It was an expression she had never seen on the soldier's face before.

"YA ne soldat, a ty ne feniks. Ty Karter, eto Stiv," He spoke, gesturing to the blue-eyed man before her.

("I'm not a soldier,
and you're not the phoenix.
You are Carter, this is Steve")

"Buck, what is she saying, what's happening?" The man spoke English to the Soldier, and as he did the girl felt a strange sense of fear and concern wash over her.

"She's confused, she's...she doesn't know who she is," The soldier said, which just confused the girl even more.

"Why are you speaking English?" She asked him a slight accent on her voice. She then removed the man's hand from her face.

It proved to be a mistake when as soon as she lost contact, a wave of power crashed into her. Her eyes began watering, and her breath became short.

"Cap, her powers, she can't control them if she doesn't remember!" The third man spoke up, and once he did the blonde man gripped her hand, and the waves stopped.

"Carter, kid, you're not with Hydra anymore. You're Carter Rogers, and I'm Steve Rogers..." He paused, looking into the girl's eyes as her breathing leveled out, "You're an Avenger, you're my daughter," He finished, his eyes beginning to tear up.

Daughter?

The girl blinked back at him, frowning.

"PB and J," He said, smiling through his tears, "That was the first thing I made you in the apartment back in New York. And uh...and we used to go visit Peggy, the woman I named you after, you asked me to name you. After New York? And by then you were still really struggling with it all..." He cleared his throat, but continued, "You had only been out of Hydra for as long as I had been out of the ice, and you had just gotten your powers. But despite how stubborn you were, and how much you hated depending on anyone, you still decided to come home with me," He rambled, hope shining in his eyes.

She listened and felt the stranger's feelings coming from their intertwined hands. She expected it to feel, odd, out of place but something about it was...comforting...
