It was clear as day. Carter could read him like every other human being on the planet. There was confusion, fear, sorrow...

As he gazed out at the city, they followed him into the room. Though as Carter attempted to move further, Wanda pulled her back, forcing her to keep her distance.

"I'm sorry" He started, "That was...odd," he finished, floating down to their level. "Thank You," he said to Thor, as a cape and synthetic-looking clothes materialized on his body.

"You feel," Carter said, her tone curious but gentle. He gazed at her but offered no response.

"Thor, you helped create this?" Steve questioned, making his way to Carter's side and signing at her.

'Don't get involved, we don't know if it's safe.'

Carter rolled her eyes but stepped back towards Wanda anyways.

"I've had a vision, a whirlpool that sucks in all hope of light, and at its center..." he paused, pointing to the stone, "Is that,"

"What? The Gem?" Bruce asked, listening intently.

"It's the Mind Stone. One of the six infinity stones, the greatest power in the universe unparalleled in its destructive capabilities," He explained.

A waved of shock and fear gripped the room, and Carter swallowed thickly as she thought about where it came from. What that could mean for their abilities.

What that could mean for her.

"Stark is right,"

Carter zoned back into the conversation, snorting at Thor's comment.

"Ohhh, it's definitely the end of times," Bruce commented, meeting her gaze.

"The Avengers can not defeat Ultron," The god continues, his grim expression sending a chill down Carter's back.

"Not alone," The figure speaks again, stepping forward.

"Why does your vision sound like Jarvis?" Steve asked, still in an extremely defensive mood.

"We reconfigured Jarvis's matrix...to create something new," Tony says as he and the figure begin to pace the platform, sizing each other up.

"I think I've had my fill of new," Steve comments, observing them and moving slightly so he was still between Carter and the Vision.

"You think I'm a child of Ultron?" The Vision wonders.

"You're not?"

Carter stretches her powers out toward the figure as he answers, feeling his confusion.

"I am not Ultron. I am not Jarvis..." He pauses, locking eyes with her as she suddenly feels a presence in her mind as well. "I am," He says, as the gem glows slightly.

Carter sucks in a breath, feeling a familiar tug on her mind, this time not from Wanda. He seems just as shocked by it as if it was involuntary.

Wanda grips her hand, interrupting their eye contact.

"I looked in your head, and I saw annihilation," She counters, pulling Carter even further from him.

Don't. She warns her, her eyes flashing as they link.

"Look again," The Vision offers.

"Her stamp of approval means jack to me," Clint interjects with a glare.

Carter rolls her eyes at his dramatics as Thor continues his fear-inducing, universe-ending speech.

"The twin's powers, the horrors in our heads, Ultron, they all came from the mind stone. And that's nothing compared to what it can unleash, but with it on our side-"
