[ Mr. Stark requests your presence, Miss Rogers ]
Carter rolled her eyes at the message that appeared on her Stark computer monitor.
"Live population of the tower?" She asked the A.I. allowed, still staring at the screen for her answer.
When the A.I. didn't respond, Carter rolled her eyes a second time and got up to leave her room- sure to mark the place in her book.
She reached the party deck to find the group laughing merrily, gesturing to Thor's hammer.
"You summoned me to watch you guys compare testosterone levels?" She quipped at Tony, gracefully swinging over the back of the couch to land between Steve and Thor.
Thor waved his hand to get her attention, despite her being right next to him, "Carter!" She saw the others flinch in her peripherals, and knew he was probably shouting the words, "Wonderful to see you in high spirits! I assume your training is going well?" He asked, sincerely.
Someone across the room grabbed his attention and Carter looked over in time to see Tony say "...lowering the volume,".
The God just shrugged and nodded his head with a large smile, sipping a blue liquid from his glass.
"Hello, Helen, did you enjoy the party?" Carter signed to the scientist who was hiding her giggles in the chair closest to Thor.
"Yes, I enjoyed myself very much..." She paused, glancing around, "Superheroes are quite the characters..." She noted with a joking smile.
Carter rolled her eyes, "Tell me about it," She said with a Smirk.
"Okay, yeah yeah, enough secret side-convos, alright?" Tony said, approaching the table with his sleeves rolled up.
"You're joking, right?" The girl said as Tony set down his glass and began positioning himself behind the hammer.
"You- hush." He pointed to Carter, then to Thor, he said: "I will be reinstating Prema-Nocta,"
He gripped the handle and pulled...
...and nothing.
Carter smirked, watching him try a few more times.
"I'll be right back," He said as he disappeared down the hall.
Steve tapped her leg, and Carter was amused to see an ease in his eyes, perhaps even a slight flush on his cheeks.
"How was your talk with Nat earlier?" He asked, gaining everyone's attention.
Carter blinked, locking eyes with the Widow, who was instantly alert.
"Girl talk, Rogers. Top secret- Boys, Periods, Makeup- all the works," Natasha- or Nat, as Steve had deemed her -rambled confidently.
"Hang on, did you say- boys?" Tony asked, entering the room with his metal gauntlet on.
Natasha smirked as Carter rolled her eyes.
"Yes," "No," The two answered at the same time, Natasha winking at Carter's alarmed face.
Tony pointed his gloved finger at the girl, "No boys," He stated firmly, before repositioning himself at the handle of the hammer.
"Unfortunately, I have to agree with him on this one..." Steve said to her, a hint of joking in his tone that let her know he was just teasing her.
Carter rolled her eyes again, "No need to go all 'overprotective-dad' on me, I am in no way thinking about boys right now," She said, crossing her arms and tucking her legs under her on the couch.
