"What does it say?" Lacey asked, not looking at it as Hailey walked over to the sink.

"You're pregnant,"

"What?" She asked, taking a big breath. "Are you sure you read it right?"

"The 'Clear Blue' test that literally says 'pregnant'? Pretty sure I can read that," Hailey chuckled, "You okay?"

"Yeah, I just...Didn't. I didn't think we'd..Didn't know if we were ready yet," Lacey stuttered, trying to gather her thoughts now that her whole life was going to be flipped upside down.

"Okay just take a second. Sit down. Gather your thoughts," she suggested, sitting on the bench in the locker room.

Lacey nodded and sat down, taking a few deep breaths before she looked at her phone for the time. The latest family photo they had taken was her Lock Screen and she couldn't help but think that was also going to be all different. They were hopefully going to add one more tiny human.

She couldn't help but get a little nervous after their last pregnancy over a year ago. She'd been wanting one more, but it was always in the back of her mind what could happen.

"Lace? You in there?" Hailey asked, snapping to get her sister in laws attention.

"What? Yeah," she snapped out of her trance and set her phone back down again. "Sorry just started thinking,"

"Don't get in your head again," the blonde told her, knowing her best friend well enough to know that's what was happening.

"I'm trying," she sighed, "How do I tell him?"

"I'm sure you'll figure it out," she smiled, squeezing her hand, "come on, let's get back to work,"

Lacey nodded and went back out to the bullpen with her sister-in-law before she got back to work.

She couldn't focus for the rest of the day and Hailey told Jay to basically ignore her. She was going through something and she needed to work through it. Jay understood and let her but checked in with his sister a few times before everyone went home.

Jay watched as Lacey quietly packed her things before he went out and just gave her a hug, "Whatever's going on, you're gonna work through it,"

"Thanks, Jay," she smiled a little, hugging him back before she headed out.

She drove home and tried to think of any cute way to tell Ryan on such short notice. As she was in the car, she thought of ways and settled on a cute way, as long as Ryan hadn't started dinner.

"Hey babe," Ryan smiled as she walked into the house.

"Hey honey," She smiled, "you start dinner yet?"

"Nope, trying to figure out what we should eat," he said, looking in the fridge and cabinets.

"Do we have crescent rolls and hot dogs?" She asked, looking in the refrigerator and finding what she needed.

"Pigs in a blanket? I'll take it," he chuckled, kissing the back of her head, "I got the girls,"

"Thank you," she smiled a little, getting out the ingredients she needed before she started cooking.
