TW: Swearing

-Ranboo POV-

I drowsily blink my eyes once or twice before sitting up in bed careful not to wake the sleeping and peaceful boy next to me. I smile down at him for an instant admiring the slight dusting of freckles across his dainty cheeks and the way his chocolate-brown hair sweeps across his forehead. I gently stand my knees popping slightly before grabbing clothes and heading into the bathroom.

I brush my teeth before stepping into the shower and turning the water to a good temperature. I wash my hair as best I can despite the sleep that I am determined to blink from my eyes.

I watch the suds trailing down the drain slowly before finishing washing and shutting the water off gently as the handle squeaks quietly.

Istg I don't understand why that was awkward to write, moving on.

I dry my hair with a towel before getting dressed and letting out a happy sigh. I peer out the window at the early morning sunlight and swipe my hand through my hair.

The trees rustle slightly with the wind and sunlight filters through the leaves before becoming dappled on the grass.

I walk out of the bathroom and see a text from Aimsey asking me to meet them at the cafe for an early breakfast. I type out a quick reply, agreeing with the plan before grabbing a sheet of paper and pen to leave Tubbo a note. I do so quickly and grab my shoes before shoving my feet into them and leaving the apartment with my wallet and phone.

I step outside into the sun and breathe in the fresh air, the sun hits my skin and warms it quickly the temperature being a perfect mix of warm and early morning feelings.

Does that make any sense?

I set off at a slow meandering pace before arriving at the bridge and slowing down even more, now walking at a snail's pace across the bridge. A heavyweight appears to be attached to my ankles but when I peer down at them they look the same as ever. I continue to walk slowly over the bridge and take notice of the various locks that are secured to the wrought metal bars.

I smile as I trail my fingers over the cool but rough surface of the padlocks. I look over the edge and see various keys scattered across the sandy bottom of the very very shallow water. It's only a few inches deep but quite a large distance from the bridge and I shudder to think I could have been lying at rest with those keys not too long ago.

I glance away and swallow before moving on and heading to the cafe quickly. Once I enter and the bell above the door jingles Wilbur looks up and sends me a friendly smile. I give him a small wave in return and am soon enveloped by the strong sweet scent of the coffee being made.

I glance around the small cafe before spotting Aimsey waving to me from a corner and sending a grin my way.

I smile and head toward them quickly before taking a seat at the small, square, and patterned table they have selected.

"What's up, Ran?" They ask happily.

"The sky," I answer confidently and they roll their eyes at me.

I flip them off and before I can get any more words out Wilbur walks up to our table cheerfully.

"Hello, mates!" He says with a wide smile "what can I get you?"

"Coffee." Aimsey says waving their hand about "spectacular, terrific, astonishing, marvelous coffee."

"Um, okay?" Wilbur chuckles, pushing his glasses up his slanted nose with his index finger.

He turns to me, his face gleaming in because of the challenge he was newly presented with.
