Nanatili kami roon habang nakatingala sa ganda ng bilog na buwan. It was shining so exquisitely that it appeared as though the Heavens were cheering us on from above.

When I'm with him, I enjoy doing this. Every time he is by my side, I feel at peace. Pakiramdam ko panatag ako kapag nariyan siya.

"Sayang walang mga bituin," bulong niya sa akin.

"Bakit? Maganda rin naman ang buwan, a!"

He rubbed his brow. "May sasabihin sana ako sa 'yo kaya kita dinala rito."

"So? Anong kinalaman ng bituin sa sasabihin mo?" I make fun of him.  

"Stand up," he ordered. He appeared to be very serious kaya sinunod ko naman. Baka uuwi na kami at ihahatid na niya ako.

Sayang. Wala nang sexy time? 'Yon na 'yon? Nabitin ako, sa totoo lang.

Nang kapwa na kami nakatayo ay may dinukot siyang maliit na kahon sa bulsa niya. Bigla siyang lumuhod sa harap ko, his left knee is resting on the sand. I helped him stand up as my eyes slightly widened.

Take this ring as a symbol of my undying love; this is not a heirloom ring because I know you dislike extravagant things."

The ring is understated but still elegant. It was a ring with a cluster of white diamonds. Kumikinang iyon nang tamaan ng liwanag ng buwan.

Hawak ko ang dibdib ko sa sobrang kaba habang nakayuko ako sa kanya. I was in awe while looking at his serious face.

"Alyn, take this, but know that even if I tried, I couldn't guarantee I wouldn't hurt you. We will face challenges in this life, and I'm sure you knew it as well. I do promise to always put your needs ahead of my own; to hold you, to heal you, and to ask for forgiveness. I have been practicing this vow to you for a very long time, but I have forgotten the others. I'm so anxious tonight."

Ngumiwi siya at halata ko nga ang bahagyang pagnginig ng mga kamay niya. Gusto ko mang pakalmahin siya ay hindi ko magawa. Kabado rin kasi ako. I am stunned in my place.

"I vow to be your warmth in the cold, and will glow up in the darkness. I will bring my torch to you share it with you. I will also sail with you through all the storms in your life. I vow to protect you not because you’re a damsel in distress but because you are who I’ve pledged my love and loyalty to."

"I am yours and will love you, Alyn. Today, tomorrow, and every day to come. In good times and bad. In sickness and in health. For better or worse, I will spend every day of my life with you. This is my simple vow to you. Please accept it, baby."

Namumungay na ang mga mata niya habang ako naman ay may namumuo nang luha sa gilid ng mga mata ko. Hindi ko napigilan ang sarili kong ikulong ang mukha niya sa palad ko.

Siniil ko siya ng halik. That long kiss was ended quickly because I was already in tears. "I will remember your vow. Hihiwalayan kita kapag may isa kang nilabag doon." Nanginig ang labi ko habang pinupunasan niya ang mga luhang pumatak sa mata ko.

He placed the ring on my finger in a split second, and it instantly felt as though it had always been there. Pinakatitigan ko iyon ng matagal.

Inalalayan ko siyang tumayo and we both stared at each other. Although no words were said, I could already tell that he was reading me from the look in his soulful grey eyes.
