Mahimbing na ang pagkakatulog ko nang maramdaman kong may mainit na kamay na humahaplos sa mukha ko.

"Alyn, malapit nang mag-alas dose. Get up. I've got a surprise for you," mahinang bulong ng kilala kong boses.

When we arrive at the back of the mansion, facing the gazebo near the cliff, he extends his arm, "Surprise!"

My eyes widened slightly. I was unable to say anything. Napanganga ako.

The bright colors of fireworks began to explode at the back of the gazebo. The sky's darkness lightened up with it.

The pathway to the gazebo was beautifully designed with string lights and sophisticated round bulbs. Tatlong mahahabang mesa ang nakahilera roon, punung-puno ng iba't-ibang putahe ng pagkain at inumin.

What surprised me the most were the people who were present that night.

"Merry Christmas!" sabay-sabay nilang sigaw habang may ipinaputok na confetti ang kapatid kong si Josue.

I was astounded to see my youngest brother running towards me. Hindi mapuknat ang ngiti sa labi nang yakapin niya ako. Gulat na gulat at hindi makapaniwala na narito siya sa harap ko.
