~NICK
Everything was still registering in me. It was like I'd never known Ana in my life. All the things Leila said, all the things she admitted, how I watched my mother walk back inside pained by what had happened. Everything...hang in the air for me.
There was not enough anger in the world to what I felt, not enough rage.
Maybe it was why I stood as Leila messed her up, bloody. Maybe it was why I didn't flinch when Queen dragged her around like a rag doll.
"You miscalculated...but I'll make sure I don't." Queen whispered into her ear when she grabbed her throat and threw her on the fountain.
She moved with grace, slowly because she knew she had broken enough of her bones. She knew she couldn't run from her.
With every move, Max and Natasha flinched or winced. Ayla's grin just widened from the show.
"I gave you an offer." She entered into the fountain, water to her knees. "I could throw you in the depth of the sea and call it mercy. It would be quick if you were in a casket." She grabbed her hair and Ana heaved for air. "I wanted so badly to kill you but Leila can just be too soft. I told her you'd be a problem but she's too nice...way too nice, when you also wanted her dead." She dipped her head inside the water and Ana thrashed. "But again...I wasn't so pleased when you made the queen kneel." She raised her head to look at her and Ana gasped. "You do know she's a queen, right...my little pup? Just to make sure I'm not punishing you for something you didn't know."
I knew the water was freezing because Ayla's ice was everywhere.
She dipped her back in the water. "And yet again...don't think I didn't feel it when you fucked my mate. To me he's like a god, I don't punish him. I can't punish him like how Leila can at times. I punish you because you knew he was mine."
Ana kept thrashing inside the water and Leila looked up at the statue in the fountain, a soldier with a sword pointed to the sky. She smiled and I knew...
"Maybe..." She pulled her up. "...maybe I want to bathe in your blood today. Maybe I want to hang you up there and let your blood shower me in delight. I want to swim in it for the rest of my days."
She raised her, grabbing the statue, ready to climb.
"STOP!" I finally uttered my first words.
What. Is wrong with you? Kale sounded furious and disturbed. It was no secret he enjoyed the show.
But this show wasn't supposed to go this far. It was only due to my anger that it did.
Leila turned to look at me, her blue eyes brighter than her white hair. She smiled and dropped Ana's body in the water. She took a step out of the fountain, then another, slowly swaying her way to me.
Max and Natasha moved back, away from me.
Her dress was now tight on her body. She had lost the shoes when she pounced at Ana and she walked barefoot, drenched and more beautiful.
