Flashback 3 years ago
"Eli, lunchtime!"

I looked up from my book and saw Jason standing in my doorway with a sandwich. I smiled at him and sat up more in my bed. I broke my ankle and hurt the rest of my leg pretty bad. My parents wanted me to heal so I was on bed rest unless I needed to shower or keep up with the rest of my personal hygiene.

My parents sent me to Wayne manor so I would be taken care of around the clock. My parents were busy with other things so they sent me here. I didn't want to go initially but Jason convinced me because he thought it would be fun. He was right, it has been pretty fun.

"What's on the menu Chef Todd?" I teased, holding out my hand for the plate.

"PB&J with apples on the side, and your favorite," Jason handed me the plate and pulled his hand out from behind his back, "a zebra cake for dessert!"

"Yum!" I replied, immediately biting into the sandwich.

"So, I was thinking we have a movie night tonight." Jason suggested, sitting on my bed. "Grab some snacks, turn on Netflix, and see where the movies go."

Jason has been trying to keep my entertained in the week I've been here. I'm here for another month so he's trying to keep me from getting bored. When he isn't training or on a mission with Bruce, he's in my room with me. Talking, reading really cringy reddit posts, and watching TV.

He's been really sweet to me. He brings me all my meals and makes sure that I'm still mentally okay. I like this side of Jason, it's like he's completely let his guard down. He isn't being the superhero, arrogant Jason, he's being his real self. It's making me fall all the more in love with him.

"Sounds like fun." I replied, finishing my sandwich.

Jason patted my good leg and stood up off the bed. "Alright tater-tot, see ya when jt's dinner time."

"Stop calling me that!" I replied, throwing a pillow at him.

Jason laughed and deflected the pillow, "Never!"

End of flashback

I was panicking as I was making my way to the abandoned apartment building. What if Dick, Jason, and Conner already confronted Levin? What if one of them got hurt? What was I going to do when I saw Levin? I couldn't think straight, everything was just running through my head.

I made it to the building and spotted Dick's car. I didn't see any one outside which meant they were making their way in or were already inside. Knowing Levin he has security cameras or people stationed throughout the building. That also worried me because he was highly unpredictable, hardly using the same tactics twice.

I slowly made my way inside, seeing cameras and a few of his men scattered on the first floor. The trio of idiots must already be in here. I ran to the stairs and made my way up the floors. The farther I went up, the more bodies and cameras I encountered. As I made my way to the fourth floor, I heard barking and commotion.

I slowly approached the beginning of the hallway where I heard the noise. I carefully walked down the hallway until I saw a body come through the wall in front of me. I stopped in my tracks and hoped it wasn't Conner, Dick, or Jason. Luckily as I got closer, I saw that it wasn't.

I climbed through the hole in the wall and saw Conner with his back to me. Good, he was okay.

"Conner, thank god!" I stated, relief washing over me.

He turned around and blinked a few times. "I've never seen you suited up before."

I was in a deep blue, leather body suite with deep red boots. I had a black phoenix  on my back and a black eye mask on my face.
