"I just got off the phone with Bruce. He said he's certain it's someone your sister knew because her crystal is missing. Plus Maverick was unharmed."

"Maybe Levin and whoever the other person is are a team?"

Dick looked to be completely certain and Rachel was just trying to piece everything together. My sister didn't have many friends, at least that I was aware of. I was just so confused. How in the hell did Levin escape from Arkham? That box was electric proof and bulletproof.

I huffed and pinched the bridge of my nose. "Levin doesn't do teams, at least not for very long. Him and the Joker only lasted a few months." I stood up from my chair and went up to the window.

"I still think we should ask Maverick, or at least let Rachel look into his memories." Dick suggested.

I looked over at him. "Rachel can do that?"

Rachel slowly nodded her head, "It's a very long story and I can do it." She stood up and walked over to me. She put a hand on my shoulder, "I can sense that you're stressed just by putting my hand on you." She smiled sympathetically, "I promise it would be painless if you let me, but I won't if you don't want me to."

I know Dick will never shut up about it if I just don't let him see what Maverick remembers. As much as I know this is going to completely backfire, I nodded my head. Dick motioned Rachel to follow him, leaving me and Conner in the room alone. He was busy reading through all my father's and the rest of my family's arrests as vigilante's, so I knew I could have quiet time to think.

I can understand why Dick wants to get intel from Maverick and I agree that it's useful, but the repercussions weigh out the pros. He's possibly going to have nightmares, act out, and ask a million questions. If he didn't see anything then this will all be for nothing. Though on the other hand, what if he did see who did this?

Charlotte didn't really take him out very much. She would bond with him at home and outside in our yard mostly. She didn't take him to hangouts or to meet friends. She usually did all that stuff alone. I wouldn't pry about her whereabouts, but now I'm wishing I would have. Afterall, her crystal she wore around her neck is missing.

The crystal was a family heirloom given to the first born daughter. It's been in my family for generations and besides bathing and sleeping, Charlotte never took it off. It was a beautiful piece of Moldavite, a green crystal that's very powerful. If in the wrong hands, it can cause disruptions in emotion and drain energy. It also can produce a lot of heat, hence why it never bothered Charlotte.

"Find anything?" I heard Kory ask from the doorway.

"Only that one of the criminals the Fischer family put away has escaped once again." Conner replied. "Levin is his name, we think he may have a partner."

"The only relevant thing Dick and I managed to really pull from the crime scene report is that there was no sign of forced entry. But," I heard Kory walk into the room and I turned around, "we were able to also see that something was stolen."

I raised an eyebrow, "Yeah my sister's crystal."

Kory bit her lip, "That and all of your sister's clothes."

I blinked a few times. This wasn't making sense, why steal from my sister? I ran a hand through my hair and sighed. More loose ends, more mysteries, and just more confusion.

"Rachel was able to pull some memories from Maverick." Jason stated, walking into the room.

"What did she find out?" I asked, looking at him.

Jason swallowed thickly and looked down at the floor. "Nothing good."

I ran a hand over my face and sighed.
