Smut warning, this depicts two consenting adults.

I would also like to say consent is very important. If you're not ready or don't feel safe or don't want to, don't do it. You have every right to say no.

I woke up in a hotel room. I didn't even remember falling asleep or coming to a hotel room. I sat up, mentally cursing how bright the sun was. I yawned and looked down, seeing I was still in yesterday's clothes. Gross, I can't believe I did that.

I rubbed my eyes and looked around the room. I realized Jason was no where to be found. I ran a hand through my hair and looked at the digital clock next to the bed. It was 10 am, I groaned. I slept really good, I felt more rested, but then I realized why I was actually in the room.

Jason and I embarked on our road trip yesterday to Cleveland, Ohio. We're going to meet my grandparents to see if we can get some answers about what Levin's possibly been up to. If he hasn't contacted them in over 20 years, he's been doing this a lot longer than I thought. It also means that he has Talia's full trust.

I sighed and stood up. I went into the bathroom, took a shower, and brushed my teeth. I felt more refreshed as I made my way back into the hotel room. I grabbed my phone out of my bag and saw I had a message from Kory.

Kory: hey, just checking in. how are things?

Me: we're in Burlington, Vermont, so halfway there kinda

Kory: that's not too bad. maverick has been following dick around since you left

I chuckled a little bit.

Me: i hate being away from him. i just hope after all this is over he'll finally be safe.

Kory: he will, you just have to believe. bruce has been trying to get intel from damian about his mother

Me: any luck?

Kory: no. i truly believe damian has no idea about his mother's real plans. i feel kinda bad for him

Me: me too. he doesn't deserve this either, he's still just a boy

"Good morning beautiful." A voice said as the hotel door opened.

I looked up from my phone as Jason made his way inside. I smiled at him as he set coffee and a box on the table by the window.

"Morning." I replied, putting my phone away.

"I got your favorite." Jason told me, a grin on his face. He opened the box and put a donut on the plate. "A chocolate donut with vanilla frosting and sprinkles." He handed it to me. "For you, my lady."

I smiled and took the plate. "Why thank you, good sir."

I took a bite and he kissed my forehead. He made his way back over to the box and grabbed a donut for himself. Jason could just be the sweetest guy and then turn into the biggest asshole. I think it's the one thing I love most about him. He's soft but he's not a teddy bear, he's a perfect balance.

"You fell asleep last night when it was my turn to drive. You didn't look very comfortable so I stopped and got us a room." He explained, walking over and putting my coffee on the nightstand. He sat down next to me. "Sleep well?"

"I did. You?" I replied, taking the last bite of my donut.

"I always sleep well when I'm with you." He cheekily replied, taking his thumb and wiping chocolate off the corner of my mouth.

I playfully rolled my eyes and grabbed my coffee. I took a sip and hummed. I was still thinking about the letter my grandmother wrote to my father. Her and my grandfather knew about us but never met us. I didn't know my father was still in contact. He never mentioned them.
