I woke up to a small child laying on top of me. I rubbed my eyes and looked down. Maverick's green eyes met my blue ones, he looked like he just woke up. I looked at the digital clock and it read 9 am. I yawned and ruffled Maverick's hair. I noticed Jason wasn't in bed with me. I frowned.

Maverick copied my face and I just poked him in the forehead. He giggled and climbed off me, heading off to the bathroom then probably kitchen. I sat up and stretched. I winced, my ribs were hurting me pretty bad today. Me hugging the living daylights out of my mom and then using Maverick as a weighted blanket totally didn't help.

I slowly got up and grabbed a hair tie off my nightstand. I put my hair into a low pony tail and stood up. I made my way to the bathroom then I made my way into the living room. It was quiet, everyone was probably still asleep. If I had to guess, Bruce was in the kitchen with his morning coffee. Maverick will probably be soon joining him.

I can't believe my mom is actually back. After two long, agonizing months of missing her, she was back. I couldn't understand how she was back but she was. It was weird to me though that she came back to life as soon as Talia and Levin took over police headquarters. She looked genuinely terrified when she came here.

I heard footsteps and watched as a cup appeared in front of me. I took it and looked up, seeing Kory's face. I smiled as a thanks and took a sip. She made the best coffee, full stop. She always put just the right amount of everything in.

"So, you and Dick?" I teased, grinning over the rim of my cup.

Kory blushed as she sat down in the chair. "How do you know it's me?"

"Rachel and I are too much like his sisters, plus she's a minor and Dick isn't in to dudes." I replied, smirking at her. "Pretty obvious."

"Guilty." Kory chuckled sipping her coffee. "We've been spending a lot of time together over the last few weeks, one thing led to another and yeah."

I smiled. "Well I'm really happy for you."

"I'm really happy too. I just feel so connected to him." She replied, a content grin on her face.

"Aww that's sweet, Kory." I replied, sipping my coffee.

"He also told me that your mom is suddenly alive. What happened?" She said, putting her cup down.

I shrugged and shook my head. "I really don't know. All I know is that she's suddenly alive." I set my cup down. "We'll figure it out later but I wanna hear more about you two."

Kory hummed and leaned her head on her hand. There was a different glow about her, a good glow. She looked more relaxed, more at peace. She even looked a lot more rested than she has in the last couple of weeks. I was happy for her, I truly was.

Dick and Kory deserved each other, they made a great match. Dick was laid back and sensible, Kory liked to have fun and wreak havoc. They balanced each other out pretty well. Both very smart, very strong, and had good heads on their shoulders. I feel like it was fate that brought them together.

I always thought Dick had a thing for her since Maverick and I got to Titans Tower. He had a softer tone with her, a softer demeanor when she was around. I catch him looking at her every now again with nothing but pure admiration and adortion in his eyes. He was like a love sick puppy in a way.

"It was after we went to the cabin and got attacked. Despite how in pain he was, he always made sure to help me change out the bandages on my hands." Kory looked at her hands and smiled softly. "I was in pretty bad pain once and he kissed my bandages after wrapping them. That's when I knew that I wanted him."

"Awww!!" I cooed, putting a hand over my heart.

"He also does this thing with his ton-"

"-There you are!" I heard Jason's voice.
