Jason and I were laying in his bed, my head on his chest. Maverick was sound asleep on the floor taking a nap. He insisted on building a blanket fort for just him because he saw it in a movie and thought it was cool. I didn't mind, he was entertaining himself.

Two days ago we all barely escaped with our lives from Charlotte and Owen. I still can't believe she's really alive. It pains me to think about how badly brainwashed she must be to attack us like she did. She could have killed one of us, especially Kory. Kory took her head on no hesitation.

Owen tried to kill us, he almost killed Gar. Luckily he didn't but Gar is still in a coma. Clark assured us he would be waking up within the next day or two. Gar gave his life to save Rachel's. Owen and Rach were going head to head and when Owen gained control, Gar jumped in to block Rachel from his electricity.

Dick and Kory were both up and moving around, thankfully with no life threatening injuries. However, neither one of them were in any condition to fight. Though knowing them, they'll still fight anyway. Even if Dick has two broken ribs and a few torn ligaments. Kory's lucky her hands didn't completely fry off from Charlotte's fire.

Jason had woken up the day after we returned to the manor. He was up and walking around but was in pain. He was lucky his skull wasn't totally smashed in. When he went into a deep sleep I was sure he was going to go into a coma. He's going to have a scar lining the side of his face from the fight, no doubt.

"Father says there's lunch downstairs." Damian stated from Jason's doorway.

"I'll pass." Jason stated, not looking at Damian.

"Would you mind bringing it here? My side is really hurting me today." I sweetly asked Damian.

"I'll have Grayson or Conner do it." He replied before walking away.

I slowly sat up and situated myself so I was sitting more up against the head board. My side was bugging me really bad. I didn't break anything but I was bruised pretty badly. I had a few stitches lining my side as well. I must've gotten cut on Charlotte's heel at some point during our fight.

"Jason, you really gave me a scare." I told him, peering down at him.

He raised an eyebrow. "You gave me a scare. How did I give you a scare?"

"You got the crap beat out of you, again, because of me. Only this time it was Charlotte and she could've killed you. Plus with that head wound you have I thought for sure you were going to bleed out." I explained, pushing the hair out of his eyes.

Jason grabbed my hand and brought it to his lips. He kissed the back of it gently. My hands were cold, his hands were really warm.

"You can't get rid of me that easily." He replied, lacing our fingers together. "Besides, you scared the shit outta me when I saw you come flying out of the cabin. I was sure you broke your back or something." He shook his head and locked our eyes. "You can't do me like that."

I gave a breathy chuckle and rolled my eyes. "Looks like we both suck at staying in one piece."

Jason grinned and slowly sat up. He turned his body to face mine and brought my hand up to his lips again. I always wondered how men could go from screaming and yelling to so soft and so gentle, then I met Jason. He was tough, arrogant, and had a huge ego. Then when his walls come down he's a theatre nerd, a romantic, and just an all around sweet guy. He never ceased to amaze me.

"Loreli, I really realized something when I saw you at your worst a few days ago."

"What did you realize?"

He let go of my hand and brushed the hair out of my face. His other hand was in a sling because he tore a ligament. The crack I heard during the fight was his ribs.
